Features - Make hit-spots optional to track. You can track a hit/miss spot for any pitch you want, or simply not record a value. Pitches without a hit-spot value won't count toward the hit-spot percentage. Bug fixes and updates - Swap out the analytics library for something with more functionality, will add controls for users in the near future. - A couple wording changes.

Fixes a bug * Accidentally removed the button to close the game tracker in the last update Added a couple minor features * First pitch strike percentage calculated for you * Adds counts of at bats that started with a first pitch strike and resulted in a strikeout or walk * Adds some sync stability and ability to filter out shared objects in the future

New game features targeted toward coaches/players/parents of younger teams or individuals * Start recording mid-game, mid-at-bat if you wish! Good for tracking relief pitchers or only following your pitcher's performance without tracking the entire game * Generate lineups - great for parents and coaches that don't need to track the opposing teams batting history. Sharing of games and bullpens has been reenabled.

Bug fixes for Game mode * Recording a foul ball on strike 2 wouldn't mark the batter as out, but would keep racking up strikes until the next "out" pitch result was recorded. * Couldn't record non-pitch related outs (such as a double play or runner caught steeling), added a "+ out" button (unaffected by the undo button, clarifying notes added to the alert modal). * A batter striking or grounding out to end the inning wouldn't put the next batter in line up to bat the next inning. Turned off session sharing temporarily while some issues are worked out.

Reviews of Strikelab

  • Need more in-depth data

    Good -

    - plotting location of pitches
    - % of different pitches thrown (change,curve, fastball,etc)
    - breakdown of # pitches thrown to each batter and result

    Needs improvement -

    - Most pitchers will miss their spots unless they are in the pros, don’t find this helpful or needed especially at HS and lower levels. What is needed is more in-depth stats. Most of them are normal pitching stats.

    - %first pitch strikes
    - walk / strikeout ratio
    - strikeout with 2 strikes
    - ERA
    - SO
    - BB

There are many more in-depth stats that would be great to add for more in depth reporting:
-% of first pitch strikes that resulted in strikeout or % that resulted in walk
    -Lead off batter gets out
    -walks per inning
This list could be long but is very needed for tracking pitchers. I have a full list of stats needed if you ever want them.

Great base app just need to strengthen it a bit.

    Developer Response

Thank you for the review and suggestions. I've incorporated a couple of the in-depth stats you mentioned into the game tracker and I'm thinking through how to add the rest. If you don't mind sharing that list of stats, please reach out to the email address on our website - I definitely want to take a look and work on getting them added.
  • Sharing

I have been unable to share data with players or coaches. Tracking is great but sharing has been difficult.

    Developer Response

Hello, I know this feedback was left a while ago but I have recently taken a number of steps to improve the sharing performance. If you're willing to try out the latest update, I'd love to know whether or not it solves your issues.
