Free!

Thank you for the free convolution reverb.

A little bumpy at first, but everything fixed with update.

Looking forward to purchasing the pro version.

Enjoying all of your effects. Please make more!

Sounds Great

Like all of this devs apps.

Excellent, and not comparable to other convolution apps on iOS

This app stands alone in that it is the only true stereo convolution reverb AUv3 on iOS. For that alone you should get it. It will use more CPU, because stereo processing is more intensive, but this is the only way to get a true stereo convolution reverb.

High quality

Fantastic reverb and look forward to the pro version
Thanks for bringing this to iOS!

Outstanding reverb

I particularly like the more experimental convolution files. One thing to note is that it requires high latency settings, particularly on older devices. Might be a concern for live uses. Not a criticism, it’s in the nature of the thing.

Reverb

I have started to delve into this free version of your Convolution reverb.

Yep, at first impression it sounds great and the ability to adjust the impulses is quite innovative.

Though your apps do have their quirks in the gui department,
I have come to realise that that
is your way and as an artist myself
I totally understand that, they are
a great compliment to any iOS
music producer.

Keep them coming.

Looking forward to the
release of the full pro version.

True Stereo Convolution

After further testing of other AU convolution reverbs using sources with a wide source imaging, I am revising my review and upgrading this reverb to five stars.

This reverb seems to be the only AU convolution app that does real stereo to stereo processing. As a result, it needs more CPU than the other convolution AU plugins. Those plugins process the left input only through the left IR channel and right channel through the right. While that can sound nice in many circumstances, it will sound very wrong if the source has some sounds that are panned strongly. Let’s say you have an instrument hard panned left. It’s reverberation should not be only be heard from the left speaker. With the two other AUs, I tested, a hard-panned source only reverberated on the side it was panned to. This saves a lot of CPU but messes with the imaging and is very unnatural.

Convolutor, on the other hand, processes both left and right inputs in full stereo. So, it needs to do more processing. In situations where your source has wide panning, you will notice a much better result.

As a result of the processing, you may need to increase your buffer sizes to get playback without crackling, but that is a reasonable price when you need the more detailed imaging.

It would be worthwhile for this plugin to have a switches to do “half-stereo” or “mono-to-stereo” for those cases where you are okay with compromising the imaging in exchange for less cpu use.
