The app is okay, it’s just a basic wrapper around the website. It’s missing some fairly basic features like order history, but it works. The main problem is the service, at least in my local area. The app confirms that the order was successfully placed. The scheduled delivery time passed but the delivery did not happen. I called to ask why it wasn’t delivered. Customer support tells me that they can see the delivery in their system but they couldn’t reach me when they called to confirm. Since my phone was switched on the while time and had good network coverage, I didn’t believe them. This happened more than once with different orders, and I have not yet received an order without this problem occurring. Since the app has no way of tracking the status of an order once it’s been placed, I can’t confirm anything. Instead I have to call the customer service centre. I suspect that whoever is responsible for deliveries just can’t be bothered to call customers, and hopes that the customer will just go to the supermarket to collect rather than following it up. I could be wrong but that’s my impression so far.
