Stop adding complexity, work on mechanics
I used to grind and play this game a ton and had a lot of fun but with the recent updates, it is no longer fun to play at all. It really is a shame.
I like the added complexities and the thought of improving, but the new fighting and moving mechanics are horrendous ruining the best part of the game: leading your army as the champion in massive battles.
The new complexity of the fighting mechanics was supposed to add more strategy instead of just whacking dudes (which I think was better), but no strategy was added, instead it just slowed combat to a snail’s pace and made it unnecessarily difficult to simply swing a sword. Secondly, with the new necessity of upgrading your movement speed, movement mechanics are awful, more glitchy, and you start off almost sprinting slower than every other person in the game walks. Why??? The stamina bar was an interesting idea but now combat is even further slowed down, and trying to recruit troops by word of mouth in the town takes significantly longer (+ now you need to upgrade charisma for anyone to even join you).
Combat and moving is just that much more glitchy and complex with the new mechanics. It was better when it was simpler.

When the game first came out, I was really excited since there was new factions and new armour but then as the updates came out, I realised that the game was horrible, it’s trying to become a game that it isn’t (Mount and Blade). The game should focus on having fun , not trying to sweat. The problem of armour and weapons is that they deteriorate when that isn’t fun and makes the game impossible when you have no money.
It would be easier to turn the game back into the first one which in my opinion is more fun since there is no confusing combat system, no deteriorating gear. This game is meant to be fun since it is a mobile game, there is no joy in this at all, the siege building aspect is a nice idea but it was copied from Mount of Blade.
All I want is to have fun in this game but I can’t if it’s too problematic, if the crater reads these reviews, I wish he would turn the game back to the original Steel and Flesh game. Yes, the faction, armour and a few others things make the game slightly less boring but it would be nicer to change a few things.Show lessNeutral_Firefly
Mount and Blade it is not
I got this game as a M&B fan. Unfortunately it’s a let down for me. I don’t like being stationary on the map and the rest of the world keeps going. real-time games just annoy me.
If it had an automatic pause function like M&B I would consider trying it again.LotroFanatic

When I first got this a few years ago, I had really low expectations. After all, it’s a free mobile game. I was blown away. My best comparison would probably be the mount & blade games, though this isn’t quite that quality. After about a year without playing, I came back a week or so ago and was astonished to see that the game had been massively improved. As far as free games go, it doesn’t get much better than this. Surprisingly Good! But needs a little work
I was shocked by the detail in this mobile game! It has a lot of potential and is definitely worth playing. I could see myself playing this daily if the game continues to be improved upon. I applaud the game and recommend that you take the time to play and understand the game.
The development team needs to take the time to write out informational pop ups. Like when you tap on a city for the first time, it should pop up and say “This is a village, it is the smallest type of location that you can conquer….”. Mount and blade for phones
Game is cool! I notice though that cities are not accurately placed on their lands. Could the developers work on this after patching bugs? I question whether or not this issue is for balancing the map or not. Either way your playing a part part in epic battles and commanding them. We need more games like this for mobile devices. Awesome game
I really like this game, you can get hours of gameplay in and still not get bored. Some things that would be cool if added would be a sandbox mode, you can pick all of the units you get and command them and pick the units you go against. Another feature could be the enemy that you go against will randomly spawn in a formation to add some uniqueness to the battles. Needs a new timeline mod
This game needs a different new time line mod because it has so much more potential to become an better more enjoyable game. You could add a ww1 mod by keeping the same map just adding new units, faction names, and weapons maybe a bit of cannons instead of catapults. That would definitely make the game 100 times better and more fun to play. You could also do a napoleonic type of map were france is the main power and you try to take back the land you lost. I’ll I’m saying is that the same timeline gets boring and mostly overused in multiple games and I feel like this game can change that.Show lesslord boi
