Amazing little device

I’ve been testing the Watch link for a few months now and once you get the hang of it the device is a great option. Now I can leave the standard HR straps at home. Well done

Works great and convenient

I have absolutely no desire to strap on a HR chest strap every time I ride my bike. This app along with the watch link pod solves that. It displays and allows my Garmin cycling computer to record my heart rate data. The app starts up and connects to the pod from my watch easily, then the pod connects to the Garmin automatically. The customer support is also excellent should you have any questions about it. 100% would recommend.

Watch Link Pod

I primarily use my Watch Link Pod while outdoor bike riding. I stared using the Watch Link Pod after purchasing my Wahoo Element V2 and realized Apple Watch doesn’t talk to Wahoo Element. I did my research and found my solution Watch Link Pod. The Watch Link Pod was easy to setup and pair with my iPhone, Apple Watch and Wahoo Element. It filled the missing link providing pulse data to Wahoo. I would also like to mention Customer Service is excellent.

Works Great would be perfect with a few changes

Works as advertised without any hiccups. Currently using at F45 as my studio does not have the F45 hub that would allow me to use my watch without the pod.

The watch app is very hard on the eyes. Would love to see the colors switched to be on a black background and to also change colors based on your current heart rate zone. Implement that and this would be the perfect app and accessory.

Watch link works with Kiosk

I added the watch link to my Trek rail and after a few tech support interactions its working great. I am sure setup will go smoothly in the future. I would give it a confident five star rating but I haven’t figured out how to use it while I am using the Apple watch workout app at the same time. Seems like you can only use the native app, which is good, but would be nice if the native app could work in the background. Maybe its able to, but I haven’t figured it out yet. But if you want to use your Apple watch to display BPM on the Kiosk head unit, it will do it. Great solution and the best customer support.

Appreciate the review!

Works great!

I just received my USB Watchlink and set up was easy. It works fantastic with my NordicTrack C2450. I now have the benefits of the Active Pulse feature and let me tell you, that’s a game changer! I start the Watchlink app with my Apple Watch 5 once my workout begins on the NordicTrack. It syncs quickly (usually within 15 seconds or less). Watchlink’s customer service is exceptional! I had a few questions and the response time was quick and very informative. This for me, is what makes a product even better. After sales service is paramount!

Unreliable

Honestly I have been using the Watchlink on my Hydrow for about a year now. There was a time it was reliable and worked but I found in the last 6 months that it frequently does not connect or loses its connection. Also, the heart rate data I find is often incorrect so I go to my heart rate monitor and use that instead. Sorry but this product just is unreliable.

Excellent

Initially, I was skeptical. I have had Apple Watches in the distant past but never felt they measured up to the traditional training smartwatch. As the Apple Watch Ultra came out, I considered giving it another go but Apple did not integrate well into my training platforms, bike computer, or trainer so I looked into possible solutions I found Watch Link with the Watch Link USB and Watch Link Pod hardware. It seemed like it could be a really good answer but I was still skeptical. I contacted the company and had multiple extremely helpful and honest interactions which ultimately led me to use the app along with purchasing both the Pod and USB Watch Link products. Shipping was very prompt. The setup and integration into all my equipment and training platforms was intuitive, simple, and quick. There is no delay in reconnecting each day and there is no signal loss or drops. Further, it appears to be extremely accurate when checked against other HR monitors. Up until recently, I have held on to my prior traditional training smartwatch but have finally sold it. For my training, I plan to continue with Watch Link as long as possible. I also happen to be a physician working in Obesity and Lifestyle Medicine. I have recommended both the app and hardware to multiple patients who have Apple Watches.

Wow! What an amazing review and endorsement for our product. Thank you so much!!

Doesn’t work (updated)

Broken software. Won’t connect my Apple Watch 8. App just says can’t find anything even though app is on both phone and watch and Bluetooth is on. Tried searching from the watch and from iPhone 12 Pro. Neither see anything. Never had any issue connecting anything else.

Update:
Digging into it more I discovered I had to buy hardware to get this to work with Hydrow (which can Bluetooth to any standard heart rate monitor without additional hardware). Found out way to late into this I needed additional (expensive) adapter to get this to work. Works, but pricey, and mislead. Took off one star for that.

Great App and excellent customer service

I have used this app and the BLE dongle for several months. You can just use your Apple Watch and no longer need the iPhone present, although if you want you can use the phone display as well. The app works with multiple endpoints so you can have a separate monitoring app and the bike displaying heart rate at the same time. I found a very minor bug and the fixed it very quickly. Overall excellent and reliable.
