  • Steady the Camera

As long as you can hold your iPhone camera steady this app works wonders in viewing and saving camera scan of a negative.

Thank you for choosing us for your scanning journey, enjoy!
  • Sensationele

Just Amazing how much colour can be put on a b&w! I have to still explore the app but if it can transform then that is awesome !

  • Too Basic for me

I found this app way too basic for me. Too time consuming for not great results. If you have a couple of negs to scan and don’t mind the quality then try it out for sure. But for me, with a mountain of family slides and negatives to scan it just won’t cut it.
I also had an issue with my subscription which wasn’t resolved and has resulted in my paying for a year’s subscription I just won’t use. Customer service just said ‘take it up with the app store’….

Thank you for the feedback. Hold the negative 2 inches (5 cm) away from the computer screen in order not to have the image pixelated. The camera needs to see the side holes to crop properly. If you use an iPhone 13 Pro or purchased the macro lens on Amazon: You can hold the device closer to the negative. If the image gets blurry, try to move slightly back and forth until it gets back in focus. Please try again and let us know how it goes. As per Apple policy we can only do very limited actions to help with your account as we do not have access to your accounts so all matters need to be handled with Apple support. Please reach out to support@photomyne.com so we can assist on how to get the best scanning results.
  • Works pretty well

    Works well, good usability.

No lifetime purchase option is a problem. If I could spend 40-60$ CAD and use the app indefinitely this would be a 5 star review.

  • Works fine-ish

Wanna be nagged by “helpful” pop ups every time you so much as think about using the app? Want it to arbitrarily decide to crop a photo without your input? Want an app that’s pushier than a car salesman at the end of the month? Then here you go!
It works fine most of the time, but I’m the three days I’ve been trying to evaluate it, I’ve spent more time being nagged to buy or click out of “helpful” instructional popups than I have actually getting any meaningful results. If you plan to immediately buy, it’s probably less baggy about that (but don’t forget the ads about all the stuff you can buy to go along with the app; gotta have those!)

We offer different subscriptions for different needs. The pop ups will disappear after a few uses once the user feels comfortable enough with the scanning process. There is an option within the app to crop your scans manually. Click on the cropping icon on the bottom of the screen - second icon from the left. • Truly dreadful workflow

Serious, has the designer ever scanned a pic? Here is what is wantedp:

    1. Scan pic

    2. IMMEDIATELY preview pic at full screen size and if not ok, delete (or save if OK) there and then and straight back to the scan window NOT disappear into the corner forcing you to navigate away from the scanner, use a menu to delete which then goes to the next saved pic rather than back to the scanner.

    3. Rinse repeat until ready to view.

    4. Export to Photos app (not google).

And absolutely no nagging about colourising.

And not ripping us off for more cash just to bin announcements. Subbed for a month. There won't be a second.

Oh and no "You forgot a backlight" EVERY SINGLE TIME (I didn't).

Great idea so badly implemented it beggars belief.

Very sorry to hear that you don't like our app. We appreciate your suggestions as we always try to improve our apps for the users. We will forward your request to our team- thank you. In addition- Try to keep the room as dark as possible with only the backlight as a source of light. Also, try not to have the phone directly facing the image. Please try this out and let us know if this improves the scans. Looking forward to hearing from you at support@photomyne.com
