Hot Blerx Summer is finally HERE. What's new? - Did someone say POWER UPS? Yes, it was me! I said it! Every few levels you can now choose a power up, adding a wild new strategic layer to the game. - Shots no longer collide with each other, so no more duds - Stars, twinkly stars! - New, optional "readability" font for those who have a hard time reading the default "retro" font - Plenty more under the hood. These Blerx ain't gonna know what hit 'em.

Games just got a little bit faster, with two main changes: 1) You now start with 5 shots, and gain 5 more per level cleared. (Previously it was 10 and 10.) 2) There is now a SPEED BONUS for completing a level quickly. Sometimes it's best to throw caution to the wind and just let those laser bolts (?) flyyyyy!

What day is it even? Good news: it's Blerxday. Every day is BLERXDAY. Big update for y'all: - We have a new layout, with your score at the top, and current level where your score used to be. (High Score is hidden during gameplay by default, but you can change that in settings.) - Tweaks to get things going quicker, including introducing special Blerx earlier. - IN-TRU-DER A-LERT IN-TRU-DER A-LERT! Blerx now has a voice, synthesis courtesy of an emulated Atari ST. Ya, it's OLD SCHOOL. - Stats! See stuff like how many blerx you've blersted, & your average hits per shot, under "YOUR STATS" in the menu. (Oh, and there's a new "Most Bounces" leaderboard in the iOS Game Center.) - Infinity mode timer is suspended on a new level until you start shooting. - Moving shooter now goes all the way to each edge. - Colliding shots are less of a bummer now. In some cases, you might even want to shoot another shot -- I'll leave it to you to figure it out... That's it for now, but I've also got a weird new Blerx in the werx -- stay tuned. Hope y'all are keeping safe and staying home. Blerxing from home is a *great* way to pass some time. Here's what's new in this update: - Global leaderboard. Finally you can see how you stack up against other blerxers from around the world, even without an Apple GameCenter account. Can you beat my high score of 133,238? - New level layouts, for a little extra variety - Shots move 25% faster, and rate of fire is increased 20%. Better. Faster. DOPAMINE-R (?) - Fixed bug where sometimes the background would get stuck on white. Thanks Matt W!
