Enhanced Forest Management Plan Viewing The display of forest management plan compartments has received a major update. Compartment information is now shown in three tabs: General, Actions, and Tree Layers. These tabs make it easier and faster to find the right information. Action Sequences A key new feature can be found under the Actions tab. Actions are now grouped into sequences when they are interdependent. This means that if they are carried out on the same area, they typically follow a certain order. An example of a sequence is final felling followed by soil preparation and planting. The sequences are clearly displayed and easy to see at a glance. Main Actions The first action in a sequence is marked as the main action (with a crown symbol). The exception is that regeneration felling or thinning with a preceding clearing is marked as the main action, even if they are not chronologically first in the sequence. Focus on final felling and thinning In this initial version, the system recognizes sequences focused on final felling and thinning. Since plans are imported from many different sources that represent actions in various ways, there may be sequences that are not identified as expected. If you see such a sequence, please contact our support (support@globalforester.com) so we can include support for additional sequences in a future update. Major Platform Upgrade Version 6.0 is a significant update, primarily under the hood. This version involves a major upgrade of the underlying platform, laying the groundwork for future updates. The next update with new features is planned for August-September. Prior to that, if necessary, there may be updates with bug fixes.

IR-Rapid Orthophoto (Thermal Camera) Use IR-Rapid Orthophoto during post-fire suppression to quickly gain an overview of areas with high surface temperatures (hotspots). The Rapid Orthophoto provides an up-to-date overview without delay. IR-Rapid Orthophoto is also an excellent tool for wildlife inventory. The drone can simultaneously take an IR image and a regular image, resulting in two Rapid Orthophotos from a single flight. Quick Review of Original Images Rapid Orthophotos with Global Forester offers an unmatched fast, detailed, and current forest overview. One challenge has been the sharp boundaries between individual images. Now, Rapid Orthophotos are complemented with the possibility to quickly step through individual images and create point observations from those showing damages.
