  • Crashes Constantly

Was looking forward to this app after all the positive reviews I read. On the first challenge I tried the app continuously crashed and closed on me at different points throughout. Too bad. I can tell there was a lot I though and design put into it and has great potential. I hope they fix their back end issues
  • Inspiration In Multitudes

I am astounded by how quickly I am finding concepts for my music and art projects. This pushed me out of an artist’s slump and I am infinitely grateful to W1D1 for their incredible app.
  • Amazing Idea!

The vibes of the app are immaculate and the lessons are perfect to kickstart some creative thinking. But it is challenging to upload stuff. I tried uploading a video and it crashed the app three times before it actually posted...but overall awesome app ✨

Hello! Thank you very much for your feedback, these words encourage us to make the app better! Sorry about your technical issues, we are constantly working on making the app more stable with every update
  • Love the creativity challenges, a couple suggestions

I think I could adore this app if the developers worked on functionality issues.

I’m obsessed with the challenges. I find myself now wandering on my lunch breaks and noticing my everyday world with a fresh perspective. The anonymity makes this app different from every other app I use, truly placing the experience of the user above all the connecting every app promises. It’s just art, and it brings me closer to my internal observations helping me grow in a short time, and, makes me feel connected with strangers, helping me grow as a member of this human community while I see through their perspectives, without words and noise. Instead of filling my mind with more articles through my day I’m breathing and wondering more. It’s a beautiful experience.

But oh so true what others say about crashing. It happens intermittently through the day.

I can’t add music to my submissions. The button simply doesn’t work for me.

I’m confused about the profile link. Is that for IG or for my W1D1 profile? I can’t tell because there’s no prompt except to enter my profile link, or whatever it’s called.

Sometimes the challenge instructions don’t load while the challenge video plays so I wing it. That’s ok, but I’m not getting a consistent experience across challenges so want to mention it.

Finally, I see I received a like on one of my submissions but not sure which one since I submitted a few in one day. I know, I know, it’s not about the “likes,” however, I do wonder which submission caused a stir in another user. I can’t seem to find that information.

A wish: please update your website with some FAQs and further instructions.

Thanks, I’m blowing through challenges so I hope you keep them coming!
  • Not for all “Artists”

I got this app intending on using for composing better songs but this app does not include musician. I downloaded this in hopes for boosting my musical creativity but unfortunately it is not designed for that purpose. If you advertise to artists such as myself then please include our type of creative ideas in your work. I will still try it out, hopefully it can change my mindz

    Developer Response

Hello, thank you for your feedback! We don't say in our advertisement that we have musical challenges. However, in our challenges we encourage people to become more curious about the world and find inspiration in the surroundings, and we believe this could help artists working in any medium :)
  • Eh…

I just don’t find it interesting at all.
  • Brilliant

Can’t believe an app this thoughtful, informative and creative exists. Great balance of independent creation and deeper inquiry of contemporary and classical artists and skills.
  • Deceivingly simple app...

So you start a challenge, which is easy, Rules are given for the challenge, easy. IMPOSSIBLE to submit your "answers". And if there are stickers or tools they provide for you to complete the challenge, I can't figure out how to get/use them. Like they supposedly will provide me a googly eye stickers and filterd, cool but where are they? Do I take photos through the app somehow?
There's no camera feature... I like the challenges but I can't do anything with this app.
And there's a "copy invite link" too where you can share your challenges, but the button doesn't do anything...

    Developer Response

Hello! In order to complete the challenge, you need to tap the "DO" button in the instructions video. After that, you can use our app camera. You can also add photos and videos from your phone, as well as add text and stickers if you tap on the "Add media" button in the bottom-left corner of the editor. Considering the "Copy invite link" button, when you tap it the link is copied to your clipboard so you can paste it and share it with your friends. Once they open the link, the challenge begins and you can complete it. If you have any further questions about using our app or have other problems, please write to our email hi@w1d1.com — we will help you.
  • Cannot see the bottom on 13 mini

I’ve subscribed after browsing around for a few minutes. But with every card that has words on them I cannot see the bottom half of each paragraphs because they are blocked by the “answers challenge back stories” row. I’m using an iPhone 13 mini and am wondering if the tech people could fix this?
I’m also wondering if there could be better categorization on the discover page. Maybe you could sort them into the mediums(photography, sculpture, etc.) that journal is using or the particular theme (looking inward, exploring the outside world, certain skills, etc.) about the journal.

    Developer Response

Hello, thank you very much for your feedback. We are working on making the app compatible with new iPhones, so this problem will be fixed soon. And thank you for your suggestion about categorization, we'll think about it!
  • Nothing more than a photo filter

I’ve tried a couple of the “challenges,” but the description of what it’s going to be doesn’t match what happens after. There are example photos of little people, cut out and riding their bikes on countertops, for example, but then if you “do it,” you just take a photo and edit it with filters. Next theres a description of Gerhard Richter's work, then if you “do it, you take another picture and edit it with filters, same as the challenge before it. There’s absolutely no difference between the two “challenges,” and the finished product will look nothing like the possibilities they offer. Disappointing, as it could have been s cool idea.

    Developer Response

Hello! There's much more in the editor than filters — you can also add stickers (little people and Richter's strokes in your case), remove the background of a photo, adjust its colors, apply masks or textures, and write text. To add stickers in the challenges you've mentioned, please tap the plus button in the bottom-left corner of the editor. If there's still a problem, please write to our email hi@w1d1.com — we will try to help you!
