It’s an option for bitcrushing.

good

It’s an option for bitcrushing.

I bought a handful of bitcrushers a few months ago while looking for the one thats best for me. This one was ok but there is one that far outclasses the rest and is not hefty in price. I do like the AM preset that this one has though.

Buy now!!!

One of the best gatekept secrets and a brilliant, extraordinary, sophisticated, scientific, possibly even evil and sentient.

If you do ANY glitch/transient work, this should be in ur arsenal.

Can a free app do this? No. Simply put- there is nothing else like bit maestro ( terrible name btw )

Maestro sounds kind of boomerish, and I suspect loads of paying younger folk might overlook the treasure that is BMAE.

I might be wrong tho, just a silly word. maestro

It sounds like someone was trying to get their medication while having an episode.( “ my stro……”. )

2024 suggestion to Dev:

Rebrand, and up charge to $999.99

Bit Maestro is an easy 5 star app, would be silly to skip

HELP!!!

I paid five pounds for this, I don’t know how to record or import?? Help??

Response from developer

Hi Cammy. Apologies, when you emailed me I thought you were enquiring about Jam Maestro (although you didn’t reply?). Bit Maestro supports AUv3 and inter-app audio. To apply Bit Maestro effects to your track you will need to add Bit Maestro as an effect in the effects chain of the track you are working on in your DAW of choice. If you aren’t using a DAW I recommend trying the app AUM, it’s a great piece of technical glue connect all your apps together. Feel free to email me if all this sounds foreign and I will do my best to help.

Very close to the Biscuit sound

I like this app a lot, the sample rate/bit rate reduction and the filter sounds really close to the real thing for a fraction of the price of a oto biscuit, the one thing that doesn’t really sound close is the delay, you can’t really hear it and it’s missing the vibe, if the delay is updated to sound like the real 8 bit delay this will be a perfect app

How does the delay differ? Unfortunately I don’t have a real biscuit to compare to! :(

Give me a bit

Great - bit crushing. It’s all there. Smooth, crunchy, super smooth, super crunchy and everything in between.. and inside out.

Response from developer

Not too oily, not too dry!

Very nice

As an ex owner of an oto biscuit this is a nice alternative ... much of the functionality and feel but £100’s cheaper and convenient.

Great!

Best - and most versatile - bitcrusher/distortion box on iOS! Honestly, I'd love to have a VST version for desktop... it's hard to get Oto Biscuit functionality for a reasonable price, and this plugin does its whole thing admirably.

Response from developer

VST might be a bit more work but porting it to an AU so it can run on macs shouldnt be tooo hard. Then we'll see how popular it is I guess 😆

Great update

With the opening of the parameters in AUM, this is now my go to fx. I probably use it much more subtly than most, but it does that just as well as over the top.

Brings a little life to some over clean digital sounds - like the DX7 was super digital, but never clean as its output was always a little dirty.

The ability to affect parameters by sending LFOs etc at it is how I like to get creative. Making the dirt rise along the timeline of the sound or playing with the onboard filter in creative ways - great update and well deserving of five stars for a receptive developer. I wish you all the best in these troubled times.
