Great banking app, 1 critique
This app: as soon as you make a transaction, withdrawal, transfer, or pay out monies, etc.. the transaction is immediately reflected in MidWest BankCentre’s app. So I’ve experienced no delays reflected in any type of transaction made. With the exception of transfers or refunds from other banking institutions or retail firms. And because of the various amounts of time frames of those delays, plus testing small transactions made as tests from my own employer (my CEO was very cool in letting us try this out), I firmly believe that it is due to the other parties (not MWBC) that refunds are delayed. ((So next time Walmart tells you it’s YOUR banking institution has held your money - the rep has been told to say that, but it’s not true. Places like Walmart have the ability to place a “release date” on your refund.))
Everything is set up clearly and concisely. Plus, if you don’t like the way it’s set up, you can move things around to your liking. One can enable a PIN to open the app, instead of using a 8-12 character password to login each time.
NO ADVERTISING BANNER at the top of every page in the MW BankCentre’s app!!
This may sound picky, but the lack of animation in MWBC app when navigating between pages saves that extra second or two so you don’t have to wait to see the next page you’re waiting for. Unlike other banking apps that have a fade in and out between pages while they load, MWBC transitions are quick, painless, and get you right to the chosen page.
The lines of transactions are clear and concise enough to see 10-12 transactions at a time. Other apps, only 3-4 transactions may be viewed at once.
I could probably go on, but I’ll stop after this last bit. My one and only complaint would be that when I’m going between MWBC app and any other app on my phone or tablet, iPad, etc.. is that the MWBC app times out immediately, making it necessary to enter your PIN EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. you access it. Even if it’s only been seconds. It does this on all of my mobile devices and is pretty frustrating.
I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled, turned off and on all of my devices, called and have been told by two MWBC employees that they don’t experience this anomaly. If it were happening on one of my devices, I would say it’s a glitch with the device, but it’s all my mobile devices. please Please PLEASE fix this!!!
Other than that one thing, this app is pretty great. And the bank is even better. The staff is always friendly and accommodating - even the day I was really crabby (for something that wasn’t their problem), they were very patient with me.
