Major update! Dawn has been rebuilt from scratch to be faster, smoother, and more responsive. Many parts of the app have been redesigned to make them easier to find and easier to use, while maintaining the elegant look many have to come enjoy. NEW REDESIGN A few familiar features have been given a fresh look. Check out the redesigned library, or the redesigned compass by swiping left to your menu and navigating to it. The prayer page and the app settings have been given new look too. NEW FEATURES Many friends have requested new features, and while more are in the works, a few have found their way into this update. Try the Adaptive Theme mode, to set your app to dark mode in the evening and light mode when the sun is up. Set reminders to read the Writings and to recite the greatest name in addition to saying your prayers. Find guidance from Bahá'u'lláh and Shoghi Effendi on obligatory prayer in the prayer section.

This new update changes the way the app calculates the direction to face the Qiblih on the compass to use the Great Circle method, which accounts for the curvature of the Earth. A gentle reminder, that the compass is also only as accurate as the sensors on your phone. More performance issues addressed.

Dawn is an elegant easy to use app to assist you with your daily obligations to read the Bahá’í Writings, say your Obligatory Prayers, and recite the Greatest Name. Features: - Daily Writings, curated and scheduled each day from the Writings of the Báb or Bahá’u’lláh. - Obligatory Prayers - Qiblih Compass, to point you to Bahjí from wherever you are - 95 Alláh-u-Abhá Counter - Badí Calendar - Local sunrise and sunset times - Daily prayer reminders, based on sunrise, sunset, noon, or midnight WRITINGS Read a short excerpt, or read from the larger context. Dawn makes it easy to share and bookmark Writings you’re inspired by. Want to dive in deeper? Writings include references and links to the authorized Bahá’í Reference Library. OBLIGATORY PRAYER Read each of the three obligatory prayers, and know the direction of Bahjí with the Qiblih compass. 95 COUNTER Recite and count the Greatest Name 95 times, with gentle haptic feedback and smooth vibration once you’ve finished. BADÍ CALENDAR Don’t know which Feast is next? Check your simple daily Badí Calendar, complete with sunrise and sunset times based on where you are. DAILY REMINDERS Need to set a reminder 15 minutes before sunset? Or a prayer notification right at dawn? Set reminders for simple notifications.
