Connection issues
Dashcams that use a wifi connection can be finicky to work with. Not because of the dashcam but because the phone recognizes the wifi network you’re connected to (the dashcam) cannot access the internet. After about a minute, the phone will secretly DISCONNECT from the dashcam in favor of cellular or a nearby wifi network with “Auto-Join” checked. It will still show you’re connected to the dashcam WiFi network but when you open a web browser and are able to load a website, you clearly have been switched off!
You MUST prevent your phone from disconnecting from the dashcam!!
Easiest way to stay connected is to turn off “Auto-Join” on any familiar networks nearby, join the dashcam WiFi network through the app, wait like 15s for the “This network is not connected to the internet” message and select “Stay connected” (iPhone 12).
Bam now your phone wont boot you off the dashcam network.
