Thanks for the update
This WAS my go to for news. Since the update a month or two ago, every time to want to see something besides the article you are starting at, (you know USE the app) you have to watch an ad! I know that keeps it free blah blah but damn! Do I need to see the SAME (there is only the one ad btw) to keep the babies healthy? I got it! But I mean damn I want to see see what’s going on in my neighborhood, my state, my country, my world…..there’s 4 baby ads! And I might want to hear about more than just the very top thing….there’s 8! Weather? Special coverage about something? 10!
C’mon people I can handle a couple. Hell 4 or even 5, every OTHER video at least!?!?

Pretty cool, and also more accurate than the normal weather app for google. I also like the show they do which the normal app doesn’t have.

New Format
I DO NOT like this new format, when my phone upgraded, it changed it. I prefer the old STYLE Much Better !! This new one is too difficult to fiqure out !!!!
If ypu live near the ohio river do not expect an accurate forcast
I use the WFIE First Alert Weather app regularly because I want a reliable local source, but the overall experience has become increasingly difficult to deal with. I live in 47714, and the weather never matches where I live. I would appreciate money being invested into equipment that would allow localized neighborhood weather. Don't we deserve it?

Too many ads and it takes too long to load
I use the WFIE First Alert Weather app regularly because I want a reliable local source, but the overall experience has become increasingly difficult to deal with. The number of advertisements feels excessive and often gets in the way of simply checking current conditions or opening the radar quickly. The app also takes a long time to load, and when weather is changing fast, waiting for screens to open makes it much less useful than it should be. While using the app, the screen frequently jumps or shifts unexpectedly, which causes accidental taps and makes it hard to read information without losing your place.
Beyond that, the app often feels unstable. There are times when it freezes, lags, or needs to be restarted entirely, and some features such as radar or widgets do not always load correctly. The interface has also become cluttered and harder to navigate after updates, with overlays and radar visuals that can be difficult to read quickly. Performance problems seem to appear after certain updates as well, which creates an inconsistent experience from one version to the next. Altogether, these issues make the app feel unreliable, especially when you need fast and clear weather information during time-sensitive situations.
This app has strong potential as a trusted local weather resource, which is why these problems stand out so much. Improving stability, simplifying the interface, reducing intrusive advertising, fixing loading delays, and ensuring radar and widgets work consistently would make a significant difference and help restore confidence in the app.

Way too many pop up ads to get to the info in the site & then continued adds while trying to navigate from one city to another.

We need Mike Blake back at least his reporting was correct.
Map downgrade
The maps were better prior to version 6.1.302. This is not an upgrade.
I thought it was a weather app, but it's actually an app for advertisements
I've never seen more ridiculous and harmful looking advertisements in an application.
I'm not sure who is in charge of this app, but I will not use it simply because of these advertisements.

Current local data will not load
I have tried several options, Wi-Fi, cellular, change of location. The current weather info will not load. :(

Ads are gross
This used to be my go-to weather app but I had to stop using it for the ridiculous and sometimes disgusting advertisements. Most of the time they weren’t even promoting a product, just vaguely describing a misinformed life hack meant as clickbait for who-knows-what. I remember one that said to pour alcohol into your air vents. The one that made me uninstall had dust mites crawling out of an ear. I just came to look at the radar not have my anxiety triggered. Do better, 14news.

A couple glitches
The app crashes if you try to engage before it loads completely.
Also, these obviously spam advertisements that take up a lot of room on these pages, are a real problem. I'm assuming they're Google ads, and you don't know what they show, because it's random, but it's all clickbait and scams.
Do you really want to be connected to ads like that?
I don't want to see them, so I'm deleting the app.

Siren alert!
This sound is SO ANNOYING! Please change it
First alert Severe Weather
Phone says to check the app for upcoming severe weather and I go to it and there’s sound for commercial, but none for the alert! Not a very good app if it’s main focus is on making $$, but not alerting folks about weather
App crashes often
Open app. Wait for add. Open daily weather. App crashes. Open app. Wait for add. Open hourly weather. App crashes. All I want to know is the local weather and all I get is an advertisement and the app crashing. If I die in a tornado, it will likely be because I was either sitting through an advertisement or restating the app after it crashed.

Too Many Adds that could cost your life
This isn’t the weather app, this is a app that makes 14 news money from all their adds. Please do not install, it will one day cost everything you love, Smothering your eyes with the same five adds back to back before you can get somewhere safe in time or to see the next wave of storms coming. I assure you this “weather app” will not protect you or the ones you love, just another cash grab!!!!
