Can’t accept the terms
Opened the app for the first time and the terms and conditions can’t even be accepted. Useless
Ineffective at helping koala populations
This app is difficult to navigate and it’s time consuming to enter details every time you see a koala. Uploading photos doesn’t seem to work so you have to take photos with the app open.
iNaturalist is much quicker and easier to use.
We persevered with the app for a long time thinking it would help show where koalas are active to help protect them when it comes to development. However, recently a block of koala inhabited forest near the QEII hospital in Brisbane was cleared by the Queensland Government. They claimed they had done a survey and found no evidence of koalas, despite there being multiple sightings recorded on QWildlife.
This app is simply a marketing tool for the Queensland Government.
Unless big changes are made, I works recommend recording koala sightings on iNaturalist instead.
