This app performs live captioning of speech. To use the app, just hit the microphone button and begin speaking. The spoken words are converted to text and displayed on the screen. To stop the captioning, press the microphone button again. Use this app to help communicate and record what was said. This app can be helpful for talking with deaf and hard of hearing persons. It can also help with ESL (English as a Second Language) persons and those who are not comfortable speaking English and prefer to read it. It can also help those that want to take a break from lipreading. Do not purchase
I bought this to talk to my deaf father. The app works one time and then does not work after that. I turned off my phone to try and reset the app. It worked one time then stopped again. Yes, I enabled my microphone. It’s a 1 only because zero is not an option.

Great app. It’s actually works, great value for money, adjusting the text size is easy.

So incredibly thankful
Thank you so much for providing this app at a simple one time cost. My boyfriend is hard of hearing and when he takes his hearing aid out at night it’s difficult to communicate. This works wonders! Super efficient! Before I was having to type out messages to him. I love that it’s not subscription based and HIGHLY recommend it to anyone if they need live captions to what they’re saying. Thank you thank you thank you
