Pretty easy; would like to be able to enter departure date/time
Easy to set up. I like that it automatically sends the float plan to emergency contacts. The downside for me is that it assumes you are filling out the plan immediately prior to departure. I’d like to be able to specify a departure date/time so that I can fill it out while I’m planning and not as I’m trying to get in the water at a busy boat ramp. Also I kayak in remote places where signal is spotty, so I’d like to be able to send my plan while I’m still in civilization.Show lessSuperPEBKAC
Easy Float Plans & Automatic Communication
I never filed a float plan in my life before this app, and I have to say, once you’re set up, it makes it super easy. Letting someone know the status of your trip is pretty much automatic. This app makes me feel safer on the water. Highly recommend!Missjunelawver

Just downloaded this app and it never gets past the blue title screen when opening app. Please update the app. I am currently running iOS 17.0.3. I have deleted and reinstalled the app three times now and it still is not working.BDawg0324

This app is way too hard to use, and I couldn't get though setup.
They ask you a ton of personal information which might be acceptable if they're using it to share in the event of an emergency during a planned float, but that's not made clear. If you don't fill out every single field they ask you to on each of the pages they take you through, there is 1 error prompt that says "Please fill out all fields correctly." For the first two pages I went through that only meant make sure each box had something in it. I wrote "don't have one" when it asked for my registration number, trailer number, and home port.
The third page is where I got stuck. They have 6 fields for a name and a phone number, and each set of the fields has a red X next to it. Well, all that red X doesn't let you remove a set, it just clears out anything you typed in those fields. Either this page is broken and unusable, or they require 6 unique names and phone numbers and they're requiring certain inputs when you enter those. I couldn't even get through when I made up names and entered fake phone numbers.
I love the idea and the potential of this app, but they definitely did not stick the landing.
