  • Cool concept but not reliable

Tested multimeter ohm setting and immediately found an issue. Connected leads together, meter reads 1.03 ohms. Hit zero function and meter appears to have zeroed correctly showing 0m ohms. Also shows 1.03 on the zero button. Disconnect the leads for a few seconds and reconnected to test return to zero. The reading returns to 1.03 ohms instead of 0 ohms. To test further I checked a solenoid that two other meters read at just above 20 ohms. This meter read over 21 showing its remaining biased about 1 ohm. I tried a firmware update to possibly correct the issue but the meter will not update, just reads at 0% for over 30 minutes. I wish it worked well but at this point I just don’t trust it.
