Such a waste

Every job, for every position I looked up, was no longer hiring. What’s the point of having jobs listed if they’re filled? Let me know when this mess meets Mr. Clean!

Also a lot of remote jobs are actually listed by another app, so why not just use that app?

Scammy, Hard to Read, Ruined My Privacy

This is the scammiest, hardest to read nonsense with which I’ve ever infected my phone. Within 1 minute of downloading this app, my inbox is full of dozens of phishing and scam mails. Every job listing you click on has half a dozen redirects, with each layer of spam forcing you to enter your email address thinking you are trying yo get information on a job listing. Great. Thanks. This app should be shut down.

Calls, Calls, and more Calls!

PLEASE READ BEFORE DOWNLOADING THIS APP AND SIGNING UP!!!!
Stay clear of this service. False advertising of jobs that are available & even when you find a job the calls & texts from companies will never stop coming in. Even AFTER you tell them to stop sending out your resume and phone number.

For some background, I was searching for a specific job at a specific company. When I searched for available positions into google, Lensa said that a job opening was available! Saying it was also recently posted within a few days!

So I downloaded the app, made an account, signed into their terms of service just so I could get to the page that was offering the job. When all was said and done and I looked up the job..Lensa decided to THEN let me know that the company was just “hiring in that field before but no available positions at this current moment”. Kinda sucked that they false advertised. Whatever. So I told Lensa to stop sending out my info & deactivated my account.

Prior to this, I would say that I would get around 1-2 unsolicited phone calls on my number a month. That has now changed to getting roughly 3 to nearly 10 phone calls & texts a day for job offers from random companies. This would’ve been nice if I was still looking for a job but I wasn’t, even after I clearly told this company to stop sending out my info.

Contacted support and they pretty much said that cause I signed their terms of service (required to even make an account) that there was nothing to do besides deactivate my account and telling the app to stop sending my info out..WHICH I ALREADY DID.
When I pressed the issue further seeing if there was really nothing they could do. They said it was now up to me to contact the (at this time) 30+ companies individually to tell them to stop calling and sending texts offering jobs even though it was THEIR SERVICE THAT CAUSED THIS.

This has ruined how I use my phone. I now don’t know which calls could be serious & which ones are just another dumb job offer. I’ve been woken up in the middle of the night due to calls and have had to stop what I was doing to check and see if the person who’s calling me is someone I know or not.

Pop ups

Lots of pop ups and misleading for finding a job seems like more like a data collection app to me to flood my email with adds that also lead to sketchy misleading websites.

Awful UI

I hate how it keeps switching between UI and web interface. The two DO NOT communicate with eachother, so everytime the web interface opens, i have to re-enter my info and click through the quick tutorial. Every job opens the web interface, so this makes navigating really annoying.

Also, every job just takes you to a list of other jobs, so you never actually get to the thing you originally clicked on. Its just a constant rabbit hole, and some of the “jobs” in the rabbit hole are either ads or scams.

The “magic” login thing is cool, but it means my password manager doesn’t pick up on it, so i can never remember which email i used. If you just have one email for work, that’s fine, but if you’re someone like me with a lot of different disciplines, it can be hard to keep track of which one you signed up with

The app itself looks like they tried to make it look professional, but now with the notch at the top of the screen, there’s either something cut off, or a massive empty forehead that’s distractingly devoid of information.

horrible app

you can’t even log into the app, it asks you to sign in and when you do it makes you go to a link in your email and just takes you to the browser and that’s it. and if you go back to the app it makes you start all over again. terrible i will never use this
