Good - but let down by government contributions
I’ve been making small contributions to this personal pension app for few years now. It has good functionality, is easy to use and well developed (I’ve not noticed any bugs). Pension performance has been so-so, with on average, little in the way of profit above a normal high street savings rate. The big rip though is the 25% government top up. What the government gives with one hand, they promptly take away come self-assessment. No mention of this in the promotional blurb so something to take into consideration. Would I recommend this app over a traditional savings account? Not sure.

Simply excellent
Easy to transfer other pensions, fantastic interface. Less waffle or financial jargon. Very easy to trust with my retirement savings. 😁job we’ll done. A great Customer experience.

Only 6 weeks into using Penfold, but mostly it seems very good. I like being able to view activity at the touch of my screen, however I am still waiting for a pension at be transferred and it’s taking a few weeks, which is frustrating. Hopefully that will come through soon.

I’m new to Penfold but loving it so far.
App itself is glossy, looks great and easy to use and peruse.
Service from their pension team is excellent so far with particular kudos to them for their politeness.

Great pension provider
Easy to use app, have combined all my pensions with Penfold so I can finally see how much I have saved in one account.

Best pension app!
I used Penfold to track down and combine my old pensions. It was a brilliant service and such a friendly and helpful team. The app is great! I can see where my money is invested around the world and even vote on big issues at companies I invest in!

Easy to set up and super quick transfers!
Really impressed with how quickly they were able to find and transfer my old pensions in - special thanks to Josh for chasing my Nest one down! I’ve also noticed my pot has grown loads since I started it. Love being able to check it on the app as well. Highly recommend!
The best pension app!
I signed up to Penfold recently and it’s so much better than my old pension providers that I’ve transferred all my old accounts into this one.
I can see the value of my pension in real time, add extra money and change investment plans at any time - all while being a pleasure to use.

Great app, childish redesign
Why does my pension now look like a comic book? The logo looks like the CEO’s school-age child made it in Word and the font? Might as well have used Comic Sans MS.
The app functions really well, is very clear and easy to use. Why are you trying to inject some “fun” into pensions with the rebrand. Pensions aren’t edgy, they’re boring but necessary.

Incredibly simple to set up
Could not have been easier to set up. Very jargon free, highly recommend.
