  • Handy

This is a handy app for tracking when you change your guitar, strings, and tracking what gauge of strings you put on. I have multiple guitars, and it’s nice to know when my last string change was, especially if I’m going to do a gig and want to make sure the strings aren’t too old, or if I’m going into the studio, etc.
My one major complaint is that you can’t alter the date of the string change. Basically, when you add a new string change, it sets the date to today’s date and there’s no way to alter that. Sometimes I change my strings at night and I forget to update it in the app and then two weeks later I realize I never put the string change in, and there’s no way to add one with a different date.
If the developers are reading this, I think that would be a great update. But still a very useful app for what it does!

  • Good concept but app is poorly designed

I was excited when I found this app but disappointed when I tried to use it. Seems like it was never tested on a iPad. Keyboard covers text fields, only works in one orientation, buttons didn’t work right and error messages that I couldn’t get around. Oh well, you got my $1.99. App deleted.
