Mobile Money ONLY!
Drawbacks:
1. Your debit card won’t be saved on file unfortunately for the next transfer, so you need to input that again, and you can only send up to $200/transfer (100.000 FCFA), but with SIKACASH, you can send up to $2,999.
2. It has the LOWEST currency exchange rate compared to SIKACASH. There is a huge difference between sending $12 for the receiver to get ONLY 5.000 FCFA with WARICEL compared to sending $12 for the person to receive 7.000 FCFA with SIKACASH.
3. Finally, there is no refund with Waricel. If you sent it to the wrong person/phone number that’s it! But, with Sikacash, there is a refund especially if your money is not there in 24hrs!
Receiver Countries: ONLY in Burkina-Faso, Mali, Ivory-Coast, Sénégal, Benin, and Togo. But Sikacash covers 6 additional countries (Gambia, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea Conakry, Cameroon).
I will recommend this app if you want to send huge amounts nearing $180 - $200, otherwise with lower rate likes $12 - $100, it’s best to use Sikacash. Overall, Sikacash will be the best option since it has a higher currency, but this app is not bad at all and I believe they can improve with time! Thanks
