Happy Gran
I love this app I get to see recent pictures of my wonderful grandsons as soon as posted. I can also reminisce anytime I like. 👏🏻👍🏻
Picture quality
Great pic quality; and instant access.
Great app, but a possible notification bug?
I started using it as my brother and sister-in-law wanted a safe place to share pics of my niece. Such a great idea, and the app is mostly great! However, the thing that is really irritating, and potentially a bug somewhere, is that I have turned off all marketing notifications, yet I still receive annoying notifications from the app with offers for purchasing VIP or physical gifts with photos on them. I would class that as marketing notifications no? I just want notifications about photo uploads, I don’t want to be continuously advertised stuff I have no intention of buying.
Hope this will be looked at.

Unfortunate changes
Our family has had Back Then for quite a while now for the three kids and family photos and it’s awesome as far as being able to share in one app rather than sending photos out, but they’ve recently instituted a NO download policy for pictures and videos which is supposedly for privacy reasons however since you have to have a paid subscription and users need login credentials it makes no sense. This is why I took one star off. It’s a problem… what’s the point of sharing pictures if you can’t download the ones that you like rather than having to log onto the app every time you want to see photos? The monthly price hasn’t gone up, so I think it’s a bandwidth issue. BT really needs to up their bandwidth or whatever the problem is and get rid of this privacy policy because it’s ridiculous and upsetting and I’m sure users are going to start dropping off.

Love it
Great way to follow the grandkids as they grow and flourish. So east o look back over the years as well.
Sharing Moments
It has been the easiest way to share all of my daughters special milestones and moments with both her grandparents who don’t live close by. They find it super easy to use and share the pictures and videos with other family members too. It’s such a great app!
My grandchildren.
Through circumstances very hard to explain, I am unable to be with/see my grandchildren anyway near as much as I yearn. BackThen has given me a chance to remotely share in their lives and know what is going on! Every photo, every video is a precious moment that, although missing being there, I feel I am remotely part of. I miss my family so much. Am with them when I can be. Thank you, BackThen, for making these precious moments available to me. Thank you.

Best app for family sharing
We’ve been using this app for over four years and absolutely love it. It has been our sole source of photo sharing with family around the globe. We’ve been able to share our kids lives privately, without “those” main social media platforms. The app itself is great and easy to use for all ages (read: elderly), and the creators of the app are responsive to feedback and add new features constantly. The best part about it all is being able to scroll backwards or forwards in time and see the growth of our kids. Absolutely! Love! It!

Great in theory
Great way to stay connected. Makes uploads super easy. Would have given 5 stars if it was easier to remove pictures other that one by one.
My no. 1 parenting tip
We love Back Then, so much so it the first thing I recommend when I hear friends are expecting. Forget sleep and feeding tips, being able to keep and safely share photos of your children without it having to be on social media or WhatsApp has been really important to us.
It’s also nice for my now 7 year old to look back on and see photos of themselves through the years. As the photos are already dated and maybe titled it’s a good memory jogger too. I also like the note function which I often use to record words they mispronounce or something they’ve said that been too precious to forget or misremember.
