Description of MyHairCounts

The MyHairCounts™ app isn’t intended to diagnose or treat any medical condition. The MyHairCounts™ app makes high-accuracy hair density counting and tracking available to anyone. What is hair density? Hair density is the number of individual strands per square inch on your scalp. It’s measured by hairs per square inch or per square centimeter. It’s different from hair thickness which refers to the thickness of one strand of hair. Why it’s important to know your own hair density? Knowing your hair density is the key first step to address your hair loss! Research has shown by the time we notice our hair loss in the mirror or the tub, we’ve typically already lost more than 20-30%! Hair density is the most reliable information for monitoring hair loss or growth in most clinical trials of hair growth treatments or products. If you use a product for keeping or growing your hair, and it’s working, you should see increased hair density up to six months before you see it in the mirror! Seeing decreasing hair density over time, however, can alert you to seek professional help before you lose a lot of hair. Tracking your hair density enables you to become aware of changes in your hair before it’s obvious, and to act sooner. Let’s face it, our anxiety over hair loss is very real. To add to our stress, until now we haven’t had a way to stay ahead of our hair loss or know whether our current loss interventions are working. The MyHairCounts™ app enables your smartphone to track subtle changes of your hair and scalp, making you aware of your hair growth or loss based on professional imaging and high-accuracy hair density counting. Powered by machine vision and artificial intelligence (AI), the MyHairCounts™ app features analysis of hair density, dandruff, and graying hair, and is a key component of the MyHairCounts® hair loss management system designed to help you maintain your confidence in regrowing or keeping your hair. The MyHairCounts™ app accurately and objectively tracks your hair density. Stress, diet, pregnancy, health, and the environment all affect our ability to keep or grow our hair. The MyHairCounts™ app keeps your hair density at your fingertips to effortlessly track the progress of your hair. Your haircare professional will use the MyHairCounts™ imaging device and your smartphone to take professional-quality digital images of your hair, follicles, and scalp during your regular haircare session. After the images are taken, our machine vision module will automatically analyze them, and you can access your images and other hair and scalp data any time through your MyHairCounts™ app. Your stylist won’t keep or have access to your images. Tracking your hair density is the key step to reversing hair loss! There’s nothing like seeing the subtle changes in your before-and-after images and hair count metrics and being able to track your progress with verifiable data. If you don't know how fast you’re losing or gaining hair, how do you know what you’re doing, or not doing, is working? Key Features: - Rapid hair & scalp imaging screen enables hair professionals to quickly take high-quality and repeatable hair and follicle images - Progress screen displays hair density analysis and other key information with graphs and charts to track your changes over months or years - Patent-pending technology for defined image locations and tracking for up to 11 imaging positions per session - Easy On-Screen Frame-Assist™ engineered to operate seamlessly with the MyHairCounts™ imaging device with advanced imaging technology (Available exclusively through hair professionals) - Fast before-and-after comparison for each imaging position, with relevant stats - Refer-a-Friend feature allows you to earn valuable points by inviting others to track the health of their hair - My Products feature assists your adherence to any treatment methodology Download the MyHairCounts™ app and start tracking your hair density today!

Reviews of MyHairCounts

  • Very useful

I like this app’s features for before and after pictures. They line up with the number of days I have on a hair growth treatment! Very useful! Thanks
  • Cant even use it

I downloaded this app because of the high ratings and to track my hair. When I try to ‘complete my profile’ it says “unauthorized. Please check permissions.” I tried redownloading, making another account. But then it said my email was already registered. So now I’ll probably be getting email from this app that doesn’t even work
  • Good before/after pictures function

I started a nutrition program by Dr Kellyann for hair and skin in June. I wanted to track my progress with pictures. It is not easy to find the photos just use my phone camera. This is the only app I found that is free to track both hair and skin. I really like the before/after photo comparison function, also the My regimen to track how long I was on a program- automatically! I use the app every week to take pictures of my face and hair. I wish it had more skin related features, especially in diary screen. It has been a great tool to track my progress.
