Amazing

I’ve had a cough for as long as I can remember and now I can tell precisely if it’s getting better or worse and what might be triggering it

Have to pay to use app

The app requires you to sign up to pay to use it. You get 3 days free but then have to pay. No way to use the app for free unless you sign up to pay. Cannot remove or delete your account unless you sign up. Very misleading.

Fantastic app

As an endurance athlete and, more recently, a person with lung disease, I have always tracked every possible health biometric I possibly can in order to determine my fitness and recovery. I recently found this CoughPro app and it is one of the best health related apps I’ve ever used. I downloaded the CoughPro app a week ago, and I have been very excited about the amount of information it has provided me. The reports are amazing and provide such clear insight.

The app works on an iPhone, or an android device, and as long as the app is on it tracks anytime you cough as long as your phone is in the same room. The really excellent thing is it gives you a continuous graph throughout the day of the number of coughs you’ve had by the hour so that you know what times of day you cough most.
What have I learned so far? I’ve learned that between 7 and 8 AM every morning , I have more coughs than any other time of day. And the time immediately after exercise, I have a significant number of coughs. It has made me more conscious of how and when I cough so that I don’t just “absentmindedly” hack away coughing—sort of oblivious to it, almost out of habit.

I can look at the graph and see the results real time. This is actually giving me a good “bio-feedback loop”, so that I am much more conscious of the times I cough and as a result I’ve minimized and reduced my coughs as a result the awareness of being able to see the data.

If any of you with have a lung or bronchial condition and live with someone who doesn’t have a lung disease, they probably get tired of hearing you cough all the time and likely worry about you. This app is a way for you to better manage that symptom, and there are no side effects. The wise old saying comes to mind: if you can’t measure it you can’t manage it.

I highly recommend this app for you to try out, it’s one of the best I’ve found.

Dear LEF-I-AM, Thank you so much for you enthusiastic review and recommendation! We also hope many more people discover how valuable cough monitoring is for those with respiratory health issues.

Waste of Time

using this for a person with a terminal illness yo identify coughing trends and app keeps stopping tracking and missing coughing bouts. Absolutely useless app

It’s definitely an improvement

After using this new version for about five or six weeks, I have found that one, your phone or tablet is disconnected due to a phone call or video you watch, it’s very quickly restart automatically. There has been twice when I realised it was not running in the background, I’m not quite sure what that was, but as soon as I realise I start it again.

Improvement I would still like come on guys if you can, it’s to add the ability for my Apple Watch to also register any coughs. When my phone is not with me, being female, I don’t carry it everywhere, oh my tablet is out of range. Then it would be 100%

But I definitely recommend this app. If you have a problem cough you are monitoring for your doctor. Thanks guys and girls.

Bad update

This was better before the update. I used to be able to listen to the recorded ‘coughs’ to check if they were actually coughs. I can no longer do this. I work with dogs & the app regularly picks up barking as a ‘cough’, so when I was able to check the recorded ‘coughs’ I could remove these & ensure I had an accurate record of my coughs. I now have no idea what the recorded ‘coughs’ are and therefore the record of coughs is probably completely inaccurate. The app also picks up things like keys jangling, laughter, etc. as coughs & now all of these are being included as ‘coughs’ and skewing my data. I was relying on this app to keep a cough diary for my doctor & now it’s completely skewed and inaccurate and I’m going to need to start over again with another app. So thanks for that 😡

Great app

Really helpful app

Response from developer

Thanks for the kind review! We're delighted you find CoughPro helpful!!

Works well!

Impressed with how well it detected my coughs, even very slight ones.

Doesn’t track cough and no way to recalibrate

I’m sitting here with the app open, looking right at it and coughing yet it doesn’t register the coughs. I thought maybe i had to recalibrate it to better recognize my coughing sound but there seems to be no way to do that. So it basically does nothing.

Nice concept but not working - poor design

Worked for a day then stopped completely. No way to reset. I turned off turned on force closed app rebooted phone. Nothing would get it to start tracking again. No way to go back to the start and record cough sample either. Further it kept turning in bedtime when I had turned it off.
