What to know
This is a review positive not-so-positive aspects of the app and the merchant itself. The app is a mobilized version of their website that uses a shopping cart powered Shopify. They sell the usual categories of jewelry including a wide assortment of pendants. Their strength is with their items that are presumably exclusive designs as I’ve not seen them anywhere else. They also sell mass produced items that can be found elsewhere. Pricing is excellent. They also have a physical store in NYC.
The website has a large number of items and some have descriptive typos so make sure the photos and description match the item. Ordering and payment works like any other site. Where JTJ falls short is in customer support. Shipping is slow but in fairness I noticed that either the items or checkout indicated 19 business days for receipt. Given that these are high value items from an unfamiliar vendor the time is excessive. This is not the place to shop for a gift you need in your hands right away. What compounds this issue is that emails aren’t answered and phone calls rolled to a voicemail with no greeting and whose mailbox was full. The upside is that I did receive my orders and the items were exactly as I expected, but the experience was not without frustration or concern.
I would order from JTJ again if an item was unique, not time sensitive, and could not be purchased elsewhere. One should always use a credit card because of the protection it provides should something go wrong.LAX20531
