I tried to download this app but it wouldn’t download any suggestionsDeveloper Response
Sorry for inconvenience, we have not updated this app for … I think almost 2 years, probably need to rebuild to make sure it is compatible with newer WatchOS. As work around you can try our Vitamin Book app. It has everything that Vitamin Log has and much more, and works on all devices: Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad and even newer Mac M.App says purchased and want open? Sorry for delay in the response. We did not touch this app for about 2 years. 👉 This app is Watch ONLY app. The way Apple implemented App Store for stand alone Watch apps is not intuative at all. The way it works is that you install it using AppStore on the phone, but app only appears on your watch. The worsed part is that on iPhone AppStore it would say "purchased" even if you delete app on the watch. To reinstall app you have to use AppStore on the Watch. I have tried to contact Apple about it in past with no luck. It has been over 2 years and no difference in how it works. ❗ That is one of the reasons we decided to create Vitamin Book app, that has all features of Vitamin Log and much more. It works on all devices, and handled much better by AppStore. ❗ If our response was helpful, please consider giving us more stars. This issue is not our fault, but rather how stand-alone watch apps are handled by the store.Amost Perfect
This app works great with Apple watch and Apple Health interface. It's just a vitamin tracker, no fancy macro/micro/fats/track all the foods you had at the restaurant last night. It's perfect for what I was looking for.
However, I do have a few suggestions that would make it wayyyyyy more user-friendly.
- First: Please add more vitamins and nutrients!!! Even simple things like Calcium and Iron would be great, but and even larger range would be even better. I have almost twice as many nutrients listed in my multivitamin than can be tracked in the app.
- Second: Notifications would be super useful. I frequently just straight up forget about my vitamins, so tap to complete type notifications would motivate me to take them.
-Third: I would love this app even more if it had a phone interface component (I know that's a lot of extra designing and stuff though). It would make setting amounts and reminders (if that was a feature) far easier. It would also make it useful to users without a watch.
It's great that this app is free, but I think if I found these features in an app that offered lifetime access for under $10, I would definitely buy it.Show less
