This was a awesome experience for the kidsGreat time!
We had a blast and learned a lot!Horrible at the Philadelphia Zoo
The app had trouble logging both of my kids with trackers so we had to trade out a wristband after the first stop. The “compass” isn’t a real compass so they didn’t learn about directions. The app wouldn’t allow us to scroll or select all of the options then lost our quest after 4 stops so we gave up much preferred finding all of the animals and reading about them. The quest didn’t bring us to every animal so we had to backtrack to find what we had missed too. Would not recommend for kids ages 8 & 6. Exploring on our own and reading the signs at each display was way more rewarding!Show lessDeveloper Response
Hello Loves photo cards- We apologize for the confusion of our Smart Compass. To clarify the smart compass acts as a real compass by connecting to GPS magnetic fields similar to a real compass that connects to the earthly magnetic field providing the general direction you should follow N-S-E-W. This tactic provides directions of where the crow flies, helping to find the general direction to follow, but we must then find the safe way on the path to our destination, developing problem solving and logic skills. The compass will not provide verbal directions along the scavenger hunt. We are terribly sorry for the network disconnect of the game after the 4th point, this occurs most often when connecting to poor Wi-Fi service instead of using the phones data; the game is forced to disconnect. We have developed a Bluetooth upgrade that will be launching in our parks this month! We would love to provide your family with another experience on us the next time you visit any of our participating zoos (Philadelphia Zoo, Jacksonville Zoo, or ZooTampa) please email me personally at TRAKID to ensure I can provide your name to the park you will be visiting (mailto:kristy@trakid.com).
