Description of Box Office Sim

Box Office Sim is a business sim game in which you manage your own movie studio. Start as a small independent film studio and see if you have what it takes to rise through the ranks and become one of the few Major film studios. Create your own scripts, or buy existing spec scripts off the market, then cast and negotiate cast contracts. Set opportune release dates and run marketing campaigns, for the best possible opening weekend. Make the best quality movies that you can and see if you can earn the top prize at yearly award shows. Bid on and win completed movies, ready for distribution, at bi-annual film festivals. See if you have what it takes to move up the ranks, starting from making low budget indie films, to making multi-movie franchises and blockbusters.

  • It’s time for an UPDATE, I love this game

Been playing this for a while, An Update is must needed and will put this game over the top of many as it is already. Just let us sign Actors to our Studio and bring those who retired out of Retirement please
  • Suggestions and Some game ideas

I love this game the first time I’d seen it is when my brother played it, anyways I would really hope that one day you make editors to have your movie have special effects and more popularly. Also please make a game to make a video game add an artist, programmer, etc just like box office
  • Great Game

I love this game! I’ve spent hours playing it and it’s a great game, I’ve created whole universes with different actors and directors and it’s all very fun(I’ve amassed a whopping $30b). The interface is easy and the game is fun and as challenging as you want it to be.

My only small suggestions would be things like customizing actors, writers and directors, and maybe actor contracts or something so I don’t have to wait 8 weeks for an actor to become available to make a sequel to a movie.
