Fun game - prefer a lot less ads
This is a really fun game, an exhilarating moment when you realise you will vanquish that more powerful foe.
There is a LOT of add watching tho, and sometimes you have to watch an ad more than once before a chest opens. The game would benefit from less ads and just leave pay for upgrades.
A guild/chat/expressions would be nice, but its refreshing to not have all thatShow lessCynwulf
Totally Broken Rankings
There is no ranking reset. I am crawling my way to level 100 after days of play and the ENTIRE leader board starts at level 9900 or more. It would take months of consistent play to even have a hope of seeing yourself in ranking. I don’t need to be in top 100, but would like to have Some context if I’m going to pay to play a game.
ZERO social interaction besides running around in a shrinking ring. Stupid.
The playability is high otherwise and progression system is good. But you are playing against others without any communication or even ranking system until say 3 or 4 months in when you MIGHT see your name in the ranking page... oh yeah and you spent 1000 dollars... or you played with a jail broken phone like most of the top 100 so got free purchases. I have never given a review on a game before but this one really annoys me. Every negative comment is spot on. It’s not really a PVP game and it forces you to pay if you want to actually win anything. The stages are repetitive and there’s no new army men or anything. Immediately starting off (I’m at level 46) the computers are at 9 million and I have only 800K. The placement of the pieces don’t make sense and the battling is crap. It seems like they make it impossible for you to win if you don’t pay to upgrade your stuff.
If you don’t mind losing all the time and just want something to pass the time with, this is the game for you.

May I start off this clearly formal review with a bold opinion. THIS. GAME. SLAPS.
Ancient Battle is incredibly fun, incredibly intuitive and incredibly well thought out. You may have never played the game, but I could make a fair bet that if I handed this to you, you would already know the controls. The concept is not a particularly new one, with lots of games taking a similar approach, but ancient battle is incredibly well thought out and feels like a completely new idea.
The game does not force ads down your throat as much as many others do, although you will need to watch ads if you wish to open chests without gems or if you want a perk for a single round, but that’s fairly standard. For a free game, the ads are relatively minimal.
I have not spent a penny of real money on this game, and I don’t feel the need to. You are a little pushed to spend gems and that almost feels like a trap, but I am currently something like level 23 and I have got around needing to spend so far, so you certainly can do it.
I highly recommend this game and I have thoroughly enjoyed playing it! A big well done and fantastic work to the developers. You have done a brilliant job on this one.

Really enjoy the game but seems that all the players are AI and that your not playing against real people. If you circle the last person at the end sometimes even if they are like 50K troops and your 10K they might die in the storm or at least loose lose their troops. Review and what could be better
Overall the game is amazing and addictive 😃 but it takes ages to get cards to upgrade your troops and your king and kings things I think you should make levels on it to make it more interesting or add something to get it a little bit of something more I’m excited to see improvements with the game and I think you’ve started it off really goodShow lessD_GAME
Awesome But Needs Work
This game is amazing but there’s one frustrating aspect. Energy. Energy takes FOREVER to build up and you only get 5, the same amount of energy it takes to participate in only one game, every time you watch a 30 second advertisement. My honest opinion, energy needs to go. I understand you make your money through ad revenue and that helps make the game free, but it’s extremely annoying to HAVE to watch an ad just to play the game. Perhaps you could make the reward coins rather than energy. Perhaps you could still incorporate energy but have it replenish much faster so we can continue to play the game. You have a gem here and I’d hate for people to be turned off by the ads. Now on to the game itself. It is so much fun. I’ve played many games like this but this really hits the nail on the head. I love the army building idea and the quick games with multiple players in a shrinking map. The upgrades do impact gameplay and the price is fair. The rewards you get per game is fair even if you lose. I have no complaints when it comes to the game itself. It’s just the energy that really bugs me. I want to grind this game and I’m unable to do so unless I watch at least 1 ad in between games or wait 25 minutes for my energy to replenish enough to play just one game. Makes me not want to play it. I hope the devs read this and don’t just skim through the reviews because I love this game so far and would love to continue to provide feedback. Disappointing update.
They updated the game which as well and done. However I have just noticed my upgrades and levels have ALL been reset. I’m back to the start. I was at level 60 or so.. This is very disappointing and I will no longer be playing this if I need to start from scratch. I have wasted my time4thecurator
