Description of Orgro

Orgro is an Org Mode file editor and viewer with lots of features for comfortable reading on the go: - Reflowed text for easy viewing on mobile screens - Math in LaTeX markup rendered in both inline and block forms - Syntax highlighting that faithfully recreates the appearance in Emacs, in both light and dark modes - Reader mode for hiding extraneous markup and showing only what's important - Narrow your view to just a single section, just like in Emacs - Beautiful tables with guaranteed correct spacing, even with non-ASCII characters - Open external links in your web browser, and section links in narrowed views - Follow relative links between Org Mode files - Expand or collapse sections, blocks, and drawers just like in Emacs

Reviews of Orgro

  • Great Files app integration

Works very well with files I keep in Tresorit, via the Files app
  • Nice viewer, not an editor

For what it is it does it well. This will let you view and search your org-mode files. Nice looking app, good user interface.

I’m not such an org mode power user that I need just a viewer though, so I find i turn to other apps that have editing capability like beorg for daily use. If the developer adds editing and agenda use I would likely turn to this though - beorg focuses too much on the agenda and tasks, whereas I also just want to capture notes quickly and easily - I think this app would do that nicely.

Again - for what it does it does it well. Just consider your use case.
