  • Lack of accessibility for deafblind, low vision and visual impaired

I was disappointed to find that the Speech Banana app for iPhone and iPad does not offer Dark Contrast or adjustable text size, which are vital accessibility features for users with Low Vision and Visual Impaired. To address this, Speech Banana should prioritize adding accessibility options to its app and website. A white background is too bright for my eyestrain and hard to read yellow text.

In searching the web for every possible resource, I came across an article about this app. So far I love it because it’s a mix of visual and auditory recall which is what I need.

Note to the developer: when typing the responses into the quiz box, what I type is not visible, however the cursor does move and the typed response is accepted. So my typed response is blank and I don’t know yet what happens when I make a typo. Go to chapter 1, lesson 1 quiz and try for yourself. I am using an iPad and everything else is working as expected.

One suggestion would be to number the Quiz questions so that the user has an idea of how many are left and where they are in the process. As of now, it goes on for as long as one wants to stay in the quiz. I’m not sure if the quiz ends and scores.

I love the app and with a few tweaks it would be a 5+. Thank you for sharing it!

I have just recently had a cochlear implant and really like this program and would like to continue using it. I have been having a problem navigating to the next level after finishing a quiz. The arrow button does not respond and nothing try has worked to change the screen. I would like to rate but would have to give one star at the moment. If my problem were to be fixed it might receive five.
