Was a great app, but now not supported
I finally purchased a TV for in person role play games and intended on using this app with a spare iPad, but it now looks like it no longer works or hasn’t been updated or supported in years. Shame. Very simple and cool idea.
would be cool...if it worked...
so, there's no developer support, their website has no contact info anywhere, and, on a 1st gen 11" pro running ios 16.3.1 (and it did it on iOS 14 and 15 as well) as soon as you turn on screen mirroring (you know, like it's supposed to do?) it crashes the app. you can't even open it if mirroring is on. it's truly a shame, I really love the idea, too bad it won't work....

Love the app, seems finicky to use
I tried using this app, I loved the concept of being able to create my own maps in Inkarnate and Dungeon Scrawl and projecting them to a display for my players. I ran into issues trying to use it on a 6th gen iPad Pro over Airplay. I don’t know if the app needs an update to work with the newer devices, but I’m hoping at some point I can maybe get it to start working.

Excellent companion to Game Master 5
This handles maps and fog of war. That is it, but it is all that is needed.
BUG REPORT:
1) load a map
2) using the navigation tool, and pinch to zoom, zoom in quite a bit
3) scroll around so you are looking at the edge of the map
4) zoom out again
The zoom out operation doesn’t center on the point you are looking at, so the map moves in strange ways. Even worse if the movement should cause the visible area of the map to leave the screen, such that we see only parchment, it is not possible to get it back. Touching the parchment area doesn’t allow you to move or resize the map. You’ll have to reload the map and reexpose the content from scratch.
Some improvements:
================
Zoom centering should be fixed.
The map should not be allowed to fully leave the visible area / and or the parchment area should be considered live.
Double clicking the navigator control might resize and center the image per when it is first loaded.
The currently in use control should be highlighted. It isn’t clear that show all and hide all should be shown next to the show / display region operations since their operation is abrupt and non-modal. Same for open, external show and help.

Tabletop RPG + Apple TV = Win
I’ve been been looking for a general GM tool to reveal maps from my iPad to players during in-person role gaming. Although very simple, it does exactly what I need — selectively reveal a map via AirPlay to our 55” TV. Works great with Apple Pencil. I’m using it with sci-fi games, so it’d be nice to have non-parchment or other backgrounds and it could be useful to include tokens/sprites to show player, encounter and NPC locations but hey, map reveal works very well and I’m good with a one trick pony!

Response from developer
Version 1.0.1 includes a more neutral background that I hope works for you. Thanks for the idea!
