The scoring system utilized by this app is based on work published by Nderitu and Ursell in 2018 on cataract surgery complexity. This app allows for fast and easy calculations to use the suggested classification system, to potentially help minimize operative complications in ophthalmology training. This app allows for application of an outside published recommendation from the Journal of Cataract & Refractive Surgery in 2018; it does not provide medical advice, make medical decisions, nor function as a medical device.
