  • Mostly great!

I’m enjoying this one! Out of all of the Nonogram apps I’ve tried, I really like some of the features - you can feel it when you finish a row, the haptic feedback is great.

Overall the difficulty balance skews low, and sometimes you need to finish a lot of easy puzzles to get to the harder ones. I’d prefer something a bit more challenging.

Also the difficulty is sometimes misleading - I’ve done quite a few “hard” puzzles that were just large, and not actually hard.

  • Good game but I have a suggestion

First of all the game is really good. I have the black and white version and this and both are really fun.

HOWEVER, in this game especially I like to block out areas where I know the color will have to be (like if theres only 4 segments of yellow on the top and sides I like to make a square around it with a different color so that I can concentrate better). The problem with this is I cant do it after I get 2-3 colors done because then the colors will bleed through and I wont know what is a square and what is actually meant to be there.

So my suggestion! Could yall please add a separate color in every puzzle that isnt actually in the puzzle but we can use it to block out areas? I play on classic so I dont have the 3 lives to worry about but Im sure yall can figure out a way to not make it interfere.

  • Favorite Puzzle game, but one big issue

This app is by far my favorite so far for these puzzles and I have to admit- I’m hooked! However I’ve been running into a big issue/glitch pretty consistently for a while now. Ever since around the 1000th level (I’m now on the 2900th level), the game has been getting slower and laggier. It tends to be fine if you reboot the app, but after a few levels, the app gets very laggy and doesn’t register all your clicks immediately. And once this happens, it only starts getting slower and slower until you reboot. Now weirdly enough, the app lags your entire phone, not just the game. When you try and exit the game, or even fully close it by double clicking the home button and swiping up, your whole phone lags.
Either way, it’s just an annoyance but it won’t stop me from trying to complete all the levels in the game! (I believe there’s 3500 right??)
    Thanks!

  • Good game if you already like nonograms

This game is not super beginner friendly but that’s ok because there are other Nonogram games to start with. My main problem with the game & the reason I only gave it 4 stars is that if you finish a color in the row it only automatically fades about 50% of the time. The rest of the time you have to manually put down X’s or finish the row to make it fade. This is irritating because I am used to watching for the number/color to fade before I stop. This has lost me multiple lives and if I want to continue I have to either restart (which makes you watch an ad), or watch an ad for 1 more life.

  • Love it, but…

I love this app. I really do. The latest update really made it bad at lagging though. Every time there is a ad at the bottom of the screen and it’s changing to the next ad it freezes the board, making me have to exit out completely and restarting the app. Sometimes it even makes me have to play the same board again. And the colors…when “red” is complete the color turns into a “pink”. If there is both red and pink in the board then it gets confusing to whether the red is complete or that I need pink. Maybe change the colors in the same puzzle to contrast others. It happens with the “black” and “gray” colors too. There has to be something that can be done to end the confusion.

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. We'll consider working on improving the app and will definitely consider making the colors more contrasting. Please kindly contact us through the "Help" in the app so we can investigate this issue with the app freezing. Thank you!
  • Great game, latest version breaks UX - again

    This is a beautiful puzzle.

Yet again, a change that breaks UX through muscle memory. It’s like the developers learned nothing. The toggle you had between color and “X” was already great, why break it? It was so easy switching back and forth from color to cross and now I end up undoing a step. It’s not as critical a break as last time, but still! You guys do great work but you gotta stop ruining UX.

Previous Review: The latest version switches the positions of “Continue” and “Restart” options though, and this breaks user experience. Switch the controls back so we don’t have to look out for these kind of unnecessary changes with each update.

  • Great way to relax

I do the daily puzzles and events every night to relax before I go to bed, and I love it. I’m still not a fan of how colors become unusable after that puzzle’s number of that color have been used regardless of whether or not it’s correct, but that’s a minor annoyance. At this point the only big thing I’d like this app to implement is syncing between devices. Some puzzles are too small for my phone screen and I’d love to be able to go back and forth between my phone and my iPad.

  • Feedback

5/2: Please allow users the option to choose what difficulty level they want to play. I only want to play the hard levels.

4/27 REVIEW UPDATE: Thank you for making the color updates! It’s SO much easier to read now. One update I do not like, though, is that the colors disappear when you’ve completed them. Only, sometimes you can hit a square on accident or realize a mistake but then you have to click a whole lot of other squares to get the color option back. Please at least make this an OPTIONAL function at the very least.

ORIGINAL: To the developers: please reference ADA color contrast and size requirements for web. I have good eyesight but the white numbers on the colors are very difficult to read, especially the white on yellow. Picture Cross on the Puzzle Page app is MUCH easier to read.

  • Developer creates problems as fast as they fix them

This game has issues. Some, the developer appears to be trying to fix, and some are the result of stupid developer decisions. With updates, they seem to mostly balance each other out.

First, kudos for fixing one huge issue: white numbers on light backgrounds. It only took a year, and 40,000 reviews saying the same thing, but at least light box colors now have dark numbers instead.

However, the colors are utterly ridiculous. Some levels have two or three shades of a particular color. Or both dark blue and dark black, with very little visual distinction between them. Having three different shades of ‘orange’ and three different shades of red in the same puzzle is infuriating.

But the most annoying thing is that a recent update made the selected color switch when the total number of boxes of a particular shade hits the expected number of boxes of that color. Yet there’s no countdown for the color, and this behavior makes it extremely difficult to fix bad boxes, since the color is constantly changing, almost randomly. This behavior change has made the game nearly unplayable.

Oh, and the whole idea of the puzzles forming pictures is stupid. Just make puzzles, and stop trying to pretend that a 10x10 or 15x15 bitmap gives a ‘picture.’

  • Amazing, but I have one concern, but it could just be my phone(?)

I have only played this game for a few days, but I have already found it pretty addicting. Reading the other views I reciprocate the need for a dark mode version, but that isn’t my main concern.
After a couple times after playing the game and switching to other apps, or the home screen, I find that there’s a weird outline or shadow in background. I uninstalled and downloaded the app again to see if it would leave, but it is still there. I have rebooted the app, shut off my device, and I don’t know if it will leave. Maybe it’s just my device, there’s a possibility that it could be the game as well. Is it just me? (But besides this, the game is great!)
