Jonathan Yeo Studio

Jonathan Yeo Studio is an experimental AR app which invites the user inside the studio of one of the world’s leading portraitists, witness him painting the chef and campaigner Jamie Oliver over FaceTime and explore multiple forms of interactive content throughout the space. Reversing the standard Augmented Reality device of overlaying a 3D object in your physical space, here the space itself becomes the object. This is a unique opportunity to glimpse the artist’s working methods, watch a brand new type of portrait practice, and hear some of the intimate and entertaining conversation which ensues. It also allows the user to freely move around the space and record their own photos and videos as if they were in the real studio. A secondary gallery space has been added to the experience providing an opportunity for users to see the back catalogue of Jonathan’s paintings in an exhibition format, with further interactive content to be found. This app has been developed and realised in-house by Jonathan Yeo and his team.
