  • Does not work

This is a horrible app. Nothing works. It’s a waste of time!
  • Infuriating

Don't waste your time. This stupid app crashes continuously and the map search function is utterly useless. It never finds anything you search for. And the downloaded audio package is of such poor quality that you can barely hear the narration.
  • Waste of time, battery.

I downloaded this official App while standing in line for tickets at Pompeii, refusing to believe how an Official App could be as bad as the reviews. Trust me, it is That Bad! Despite much efforts, this App offered nothing but waste of precious time. Zero useful information were obtained.
  • Interesting content, but slow, hard to use, and a huge battery drain

While This app offers good content about Pompeii and I enjoyed listening to the information it is extremely cumbersome to use:
    - poor UX
    - battery draining
    - you have to keep the screen on and in the app to keep listening
    - whenever you move to another app, the Pompeii app resets back to its main screen and you have navigate to the last spot again.
    - it’s very very very slow
  • Great concept, very poor execution

Even though content was pre-downloaded, it was unable to respond to basic interactive commands - hung frequently. Map would not update with location. Staff on-site told me map was often wrong, leading to incorrect destinations. Map not updated and did not show any info about open exhibits. Very poor experience.
  • Don’t waste your time or battery downloading this app

The app takes you through a million steps just to get to the audio guides. It makes you enter your ticket number when it would be easier to scan the barcode. The audio guides are outdated, and they turn off if you let your phone screen go black, meaning you need to keep your phone on and the battery will drain.

Bottom line: you’re better off reading the plaques in front of the important things. Don’t bother with this app.
  • App is useless

I bought my Pompei Entrance ticket from the official site and used the QR code to get this app. The app doesn’t respond to prompts, the various points of interest are in alphabetical order instead of in order of the map. The whole thing is useless. The app says use the free Wi-Fi from the park, which the park guide told us doesn’t exist. Don’t waste your time, pay for a guide to show you around.
  • Don’t bother

This app is not worth downloading. The wifi at the site doesn’t work and you can’t use the app once in Pompeii.
  • Might be good if it worked

Won’t work with my ticket; staff here doesn’t know how it works. Can’t login without a ticket.
  • Improved a lot, good guide app

Many old 1 star review says the app does not have a map. I had to log in by scanning my ticket, and I got access to map with POIs and audio guides, so I suppose the app was updated since.

There are two issues with the app, which is why I’m giving 4 stars not 5:
    - The audio guides are old and low in quality. Make sure to bring a headphone with good noise isolation, or noise canceling, otherwise it is challenging to understand the speech.
    - The app uses GPS constantly, and it drains the phone battery a lot. A lot more than usual navigation apps. Be sure to have a powerbank or external battery with you if you plan to walk through the whole city and listen to audio guides.
