  • Good system but a bit pricey.

Overall works great albeit a bit pricey but on the other hand you usually get what you pay for.
  • New Versions disconnect use from alarms

Every time a new version is released I lose the ability to check on the barn sensors. I have to delete the app from my phone. Reload it and hope it allows me to log in and reconnect. It usually requires me to wait for 24 hours before I can re log in. Most of the time I will get a log in failed prompt. This requires me to delete the app and reload. This is unacceptable for an app that should have 24 hour alarm system viewing capability. Fix this issue!
  • From a phone call to an App!

We have been growing chickens for 18 years. Farm alarm has woken me several times in the middle of the night with not surly knowing what the problem could be. We have installed Barn talk on our eight house farm. We grow for Perdue. They have approved this style monitoring. It takes some time to get use to changing all the setting and proper monitoring. I wish they would make dry contacts with more than two connections as where you need multiple per house(like 4 option contact). However this has been nice and effective just a little more costly as each dry contact cost $225. They really will not budge on price as I called to see if they offer a discount to buy multiple sensor and the gentleman was actually rude about it. But we will slow add more of the other monitor sensors in time as we can afford. We current have two gateway, 23 dry contacts, 8 moisture sensors and 2 humidity sensors. We want to try out the bin monitor also, but that is to costly. So far we like being able to open an app and see what’s going on. There is still a long way to go with making this more efficient. But as far as we have found, this is as good as it gets for our age farm.
