Thank you!

Great work

As someone who's fairly new to karate this has helped me so much to learn my katas right and pass my gradings. So helpful

Brilliant work

This app is fantastic! And it has so much potential to grow! Well done!

Hi Riccardo, Thank you so much for your kind words, glad you like the app. Taken some time to develop (sometimes it’s hard to translate ideas into so something tangible) and hearing things like this makes it very worthwhile. Good luck with your training and feel free to keep in touch with email. Thanks again, Matt

This is great!!

As a 4th Kyu in Shotokan, this is a really great way to look closely at the body mechanics outside the main dojo environment. Having all the main Kata is brilliant too. Just one suggestion I have for future updates is adding Bunkai for each Kata (I totally understand that it’ll take time to fully implement). On the whole, I love it!

Hi, thanks for your comment! Very glad you’re enjoying it! it’s been a big part of my life for longer than I care to think and it’s very encouraging to hear your kind words. You’re right, bunkia is currently missing and the idea is to have bunkia too - so we would have kata, kihon, kumite and bunkia in the syllabus library. It’s just a matter of time (like you suggested) and getting back in the studio to record some more motion capture, fingers crossed if we get more downloads we can speed up the process. I don’t know if you’ve noticed (it’s a little bit hidden) when you select a kata, eg heian-shodan. in the top right corner a video button will appear (a rectangle with a triangle) here we are adding instructors demonstration of the currently selected katas, but in video format - if you know any instructors that would like to add demos (and include bunkia if they wanted) feel free to send a video link and we can add it under your organisation, or club. Thanks again for your comment, feel free to keep in touch and good luck with your training! Matt

This is so good!

Being able to explore a technique from all angles and repeat over and over makes it so much easier to practice. Filtering the techniques is so intuitive. This really has made it possible to practice anywhere, anytime.
