  • Update on books

Do you still plan on updating the books?. So far, I'm enjoying the game. It's fun.
  • More ?Malware?

I’m disappointed I wasn’t even able to try this game. I thought you were a good developer because of WarQuest which turned out to have a weird update message that seems like malware pop up without being able to get it to go away after reinstalling it after a year and a half or so; so I tried this game, and it has the same thing, except they didn’t even try with the message. It literally says “you” misspelling “your” in the context of “wait till you(r) screen flashes”

  • Totally Immersive Stories

The writing is phenomenal. My only issue is the new Chapters aren’t coming fast enough! 😅
Let’s get some more Chapters up especially from the stories written by Damien Black!
  • Adult choose your own adventure

I just loved this book. I hope this book and the others from the developer will continue to be updated. Small game elements make me heavily weigh out decisions. And the plots are great adventure fun. I like that they are free so $ isn’t a barrier to a fun reading experience. But as a patron, I am happy to support this work.
  • good story, but the accessibility of the interface needs some work.

The story is good, and easy to follow. I use voiceover on the iphone, and The sidebar just becomes a conglomeration of text. Also I don't know what those numbers are supposed to mean, but other than that, I like the story so far.
  • A very fun time so far!

First off, I definitely recommend this game to anyone who is interested in this sort of interactive story/choose your own adventure type games. It's free after all.

Next I want to piggy back off of something someone else mentioned and would like to request a sort of summary feature. Perhaps when you finish a chapter, a complete summary for that chapter becomes accessible so that if I return after a long time (or am forced to stop simply because further chapters are not out yet) then when I return I won't have to replay everything; I can just read the summaries to jog my memory.

But so far, I'm loving it and I'm glad that these kinds of games are making a mini resurgence again!
  • White screen

Fun at first, but bad bug. After first time playing, the app just shows a white screen after loading.

Thank you for pointing this out! Could you please send me an e-mail to renato@humbletoymaker.com? It would be incredibly helpful if you could tell me which book you have had open and roughly where you have been in the story.
  • There is one finished book

First of all, I just downloaded this app 5 minutes ago, so the 5 star rating is purely for the visual CYOA genre and the nice graphics from the App Store screenshots. I’m writing this review right now to share some information that I was looking for before I downloaded the app but couldn’t find. There are 4 books in this app. Only 1 of them, the Sorcerer’s Tower, seems to be complete. I hate starting a book if it hasn’t been finished yet because by the time the author finishes writing, I’ve long forgotten what the story was about and have to reread the entire thing. There is also no way to tell which books are finished from the main menu. You have to go into each book individually and select chapters to see which ones are still in development. It’s not too bad with just 4 books, but if the library expands over time, it would be neat if we could tell which stories are fully completed from the library menu.

Thanks a lot for the feedback, definitely a great point. The next update will include an indication of the book's progress in the library view.
  • Great Game, great stories, active writers

I love this game and it’s stories. It has kept me coming back every time I finish a new chapter to the point where I’ve run out of stuff to experience on here! I know, however, that with multiple writers on their team, the library continues to be updated every couple of weeks or so, and it is worth it to stick around and see what new stories they will write.

Thanks for the kind words, we hope to see you around for a long time! :-)
