We’re really excited about this release! First, we’ve listened to your feedback. In the past, we focused on adding new features without addressing some core bugs. With this update, we’ve prioritized fixing long-standing issues and polishing the overall experience.
But that’s not all—we’ve also packed in some exciting new features for 2025!
**Recipes**
You can now create your own recipes in Horizon! Select ingredients from your list, add instructions, and we’ll help you whip up delicious dishes to try.
**Meal Plans**
Take your recipes to the next level by organizing them into weekly meal plans. Reducing food waste is one of the most impactful things you can do, and we’ve spent time figuring out how to help everyone do just that.
**Insights**
Curious about the food you eat? Insights deliver bite-sized information about your products, giving you more awareness of your choices.
**Weekly Roundups**
Want to learn more about the brands behind your food? Each week, we’ll deliver a summary to your inbox with insights about the products you’ve consumed.
**Photo Import (Beta)**
Scanning products individually can be tedious, so we’re testing a new way to make it easier. Snap a photo, and we’ll try to import your products automatically. It’s still a work in progress, so it might not be perfect just yet, but it’ll improve as more people use it.

I really like the spirit of this app and want to get behind it. But I’m finding it’s been lagging and freezing a lot when trying to add products, the packaging and completing products. The only way to fix it is to force quit the app. It happens about half the time I’m using it I think.

Thanks so much for flagging this. We've added so many features that we've neglected some of the basics here. This stuff needs fixing and this review is the perfect excuse to jump straight on it and prioritise it🙏🏽. We'll keep you posted!
