Reviews of RadexM

  • Helpful for working near/at historic mine sites

The app is a great addition to the already easy to use Obsidian detector. The mapping feature is especially helpful for my work restoring historic structures, many of which are on old mine sites. I have another device with a less sensitive GM tube that has picked up higher than background readings at some of these locations. With the Obsidian scintillation detection and mapping feature I can finally know which sites are hot and take the proper precautions. One thing I wish this app had was a glossary of sorts that described what some of the spectrum readings mean and how to read them. I am a definitely a novice when it comes to radiation detection and it would be great to have a built in guide that breaks down the readings and features in a way that a noobie with no prior radiation education can understand. Other than that great product!
  • Almost Pefect

I love being able to heatmap as I go throughout the day paired with the Obsidian Scintillator. My only issue is not being able to rename the logs after I start the recording. Other than that, no issue.
  • Radex Obsidian

It works as expected and can store the data. I can see all graphics and continuous measurements
