Description of hDrop App

Heat exhaustion? Muscle cramps? Weakness? Electrolyte imbalance? Waterlogging does not cut it anymore, track your hydration in real-time with hDrop! Unlock your fitness knowing when and what to drink. When talking about the extra seconds to qualify, hydration is the key. hDrop, your solution. hDrop is the new wearable device able to track hydration status in real-time. Keep track of your body temperature and collect the data to analyze it later. Did you know that when you are getting close to a heat stroke your body temperature spikes up? Your muscles need the proper amount of electrolytes to function at their best. Keep track of your electrolyte loss to prevent cramps, heat exhaustion, and fatigue. A loss of sweat equal to 2% of body weight causes a noticeable decrease in physical and mental performance. Losses of 5% or more may decrease the capacity for work by roughly 30% DISCLAIMER: hDrop is not intended to diagnose any health condition. hDrop is not a medical device. Reviews of hDrop App

  • Need Apple Watch App

I really like the device itself, but hate that I have to bring my phone with me on runs for real-time monitoring. An Apple Watch App would be appreciated for this purpose.
  • Great Device

So far the Gen 2 has been great. My only real complaint is the 4 hour record time. Not sure why such a short period. Hoping for this to be addressed in the future. Other than that the device seems to be very accurate compaired to my medical test in the past.
  • Great start

Got my first cycling session in with my new HDrop Gen 2. First let me address the people that say I know when I need to drink. For many the sodium loss can become a real problem. My medical team has been telling me my sodium loss while exercising is a problem. The HDrop showed I lose an enormous amount of sodium. The device seems to be in line with what my health professionals have been saying I lose. It is fantastic to see it in real time so I can take an extra electrolyte capsule if I need to. Also so incredible to take a quick thumb reading for hydration after a workout. An hour after the workout I was at 59 for my hydration. Got some extra Powerade Zero and within an hour jumped ten points and feeling more alert. My only real complaint at this point is the 4-hour recording time. I think a big portion of the people that will try this are in endurance athletics. Today’s ride was 75 miles. It took me 4 hours and 20 minutes so lost the last 20 minutes. Not a big deal but 75 miles is a lower lever distance for me. As the weather improves, I will be hitting rides up to 100 miles on a regular basis. Based on my current average speed this means it will run out of recording space with about an hour left in my rides. Not a big deal and this is going to help me know how much sodium I need to take in every hour over the hot summer.
