"Super Evil..." it's all in the name
I have a build that gives me tremendous advantages over other players (without spending real money), so I get to enjoy facerolling everyone except the hard-core pay-to-play players, often scoring between 50-70 kills per game (without any deaths); but I don't imagine this is much fun for players on the receiving end.
Once you invest a certain amount of time in a specific build it becomes detrimental to change, because it takes too long to level up multiple gear sets enough to gain access to their unique advantages. So, if you picked the wrong build based on personal play style, thinking it will balance out with the other builds over the long run, you thought wrong. For example, mortar and rocket builds will rollstomp assault/battle rifle builds. Always. Assault rifles have short range and are blocked by obstacles, whereas rockets and mortars have great range and can bypass obstacles, while also providing concussive damage, meaning accuracy doesn't matter much. Rockets/mortars feel like God-mode, which gets boring after a while.
The store provides little variety, and unless you don't mind spending hundreds of dollars on legendary gear sets (and more to level them up), there isn't much to buy that will enhance your game experience.
Players eventually discover this and feel like they've been conned into playing a game that has no interest in being fair and balanced.
My advice is play it casually, and don't invest a dime.
