Can't update
Unable to update L508 radar tail light firmware. There's always a "network error".
Just Terrible!
I downloaded the app to check/update the firmware (as they recommend) for the cadence sensor. The app found the sensor after taking out and reinstalling the batter a few times , but there is no option to check/update firmware.
I figured if I created a login profile that might help, but couldn’t even accomplish that. If the device itself is as incompetent, it will be going back.

Magene radar
The radar device works okay. The associated supporting app is useless. Instructions are in broken English and the very first task I attempted wanted to charge me an extra $5 which I certainly wasn’t going to pony up for a 1-star rated app. The radar device is probably stolen technology anyway. I guess I should have stuck with USA and bought Garmin.

I have a L508 and with the light it said to download the app and “become the magenius wit subscription “. I finally figured out that didn’t mean paying 4.99 it means signing up for their newsletter.
Once I did that I could control the light and put in custom settings. The app worked well, it recognized the light immediately.

Horrible - asks for 5$ to unlock device
I already bought the device - the app tries to charge you 5 bucks to have extra features unlocked.
Don’t waste your time or $$

Loaded the app then you have to read privacy policy first, once you go there the policy page is empty and the app goes nowhere so not much use really.

The app discovers your device however it can’t be update it or do anything as it fails to connect to server or something like that?!
