Version 1.9.1 of the Wakespeed has very small changes, mostly related to house keeping associated with the App Stores. Other changes include: - Corrected issue where app would not launch on some iPhones. - Added confirmation Popup before deleting a saved configuration, added informative popup when regulator has been locked by the installer.

Release 1.9 of the Wakespeed Application works in conjunction with WS500 firmware release 2.5.2 to enable the new WS48-12X high power true bi-directional DCDC converter, and Victrons Energy DVCC capability extended to the WS500 Advanced Alternator Regulator. New features include the ability to choose degrees C or F, as well as helpful PDF guides linked to many of the supported devices.

The latest Version 1.8 of the Wakespeed Configuration and Monitoring Utility App supports new features in the WS500 Firmware v2.5.1 for enabling remote sensing of battery current and the option to detect temperature via a Victron Energy SmartShunt device. Version 1.8’s additions and modifications also address correspondence inconsistencies with the alternator data table within the application.

Version 1.7 of the Wakespeed Application addresses inconsistencies in application usage, internally identified Bug Fixes, as well as continued improvement in the non-expert screens to simplify configuration options. Additional alternator/battery makes and models in the built in resource tables have also been added. Support for new features in WS500 2.5.0 firmware have been added, for example the Maximum BMS amps feature available with 2.5.0. As always it is important to make sure your WS500 has the latest released firmware installed on it, you can check this when using an Android via the Device screen. Release 1.5 includes bug fixes and enhancements, as well as new capabilities in both the application and in support of the Wakespeed products. The Configuration screen has been expanded to include a new ‘Engine’ tab to take advantage of features in WS500 firmware version 2.5.0 and above; such as the ability to define a maximum engine loading, as well as shape the engine loading vs. RPMs.

Version 1.3 of the Wakespeed Application includes a number of internal improvements and bug fixes, refreshed resource tables for the alternators, batteries, and BMS, as well as new capabilities around capturing and sharing of log files. Please check out these changes on the Settings screen; and note also a new capability where definitions for devices (Battery, Alternator, BMS) may be updated dynamically without needing to refresh the entire app. (Make sure to disable automatic updates if you are on a data restricted phone plan). Wakespeed thanks you for everyone's ongoing support, as well as feedback on our application - over the coming months we are looking to offer additional capabilities, including real-time reporting of status, ability to update firmware from withing the application, and other capabilities as they are developed.

The Wakespeed App allows for simple and reliable configuration of your Wakespeed Offshore WS500 Advanced Regulator. Wakespeed has built in 100's of pre-defined, manufacturer recommended configuration parameters for batteries, alternators, and BMS's; select the brand and models you are using from three easy-to navigate screens to create a customized configuration for your regulator -- just pick-n-go. 'Expert Mode' allows the configuration to be further refined and customized, including adjusting the Charge Profile and accessing some of the more advanced WS500 options and capabilities. Once you have created your configuration it may be saved for later retrieval, shared via the built in 'share' tools (Email, messaging, etc), or sent to your WS500 Alternator Regulator. To program your WS500 regulator 'share' your configuration with a Windows based PC and use the Wakespeed "Universal Configuration Utility" (downloadable at http://www.wakespeed.com/technical ) and a USB cable. This can even be done before the WS500 is installed. Alternatively you can share the configuration to an Android based phone for direct transfer. Key features include: · 100's of pre-defined Alternators, Batteries, and BMS's built in. · Simple 'pick from the list' approach to create a reliable and optimized configuration for your install · Save and retrieve configurations for later use. · Share configurations with others using built-in share tools · Import configurations which have been shared with you for use, modification, and/or sending to your regulator. · Share the configuration for later transfer using a Windows based transfer tool. · Advanced 'Expert Mode' allows for modification of pre-defined values, as well as access to WS500 advanced features.
