  • AMAZINGLY COMPLETE

There is NOTHING this app CAN NOT do...and do so well. Some of it might be a little cryptic or take some searching....but the Dev has packed so much in so far. Love it.

Please let me pay for it!
  • Promising but the sync is buggy

Like the interface but your sync engine doesn't recognize local changes and keeps bugging to merge changes as edits are made. Maybe it's a recent bug. Seems to affect files whether they are local to the iOS device or on iCloud.
  • It’s Fantastic!

TL;DR - Fantastic app, come for the well-polished Markdown editor and stay for the bounty of goodies you never knew you needed.

The dev works to make clear that these are early days for the app, and, sure, there’s some polishing to be done; but any quirks I’ve encountered have been minor (one exception, noted below).

There’s A LOT packed into this text companion allowing you to capture, process, and manage your text needs of all sizes. From quickly storing text snippets from the clipboard and capturing/organizing your thoughts/ideas, to the wonderful experience of composing documents with the incredibly robust Markdown editor, Taio has you covered.

The Markdown editor rivals (and often surpasses!) what you’ll find in other apps dedicated solely to that function.

I haven’t even touched on Actions - definitely a killer feature for some. There are a lot of useful built-in actions. I’m excited to see more actions created and shared by other users in the future.

The quirk I mentioned above tripped me up at first: when you open Taio after coping something to the clipboard, you’ll see the iOS banner telling you Taio pasted from [whatever app], but the pasted text doesn’t automatically appear in the list of clips until Auto Save is enabled in Clips settings. I may have missed something about this the first time I ran the app, not sure.

There’s one omission that is a bit of a head-scratcher for me: unless I’m missing it, Taio isn’t available as an option in iOS sharing. This would make it even easier to get copied text (URLs would be great, too) added to Clips. I hope we see this in a future update.

  • Just what I needed

Was looking for a way to edit markdown files from a fit report on my iPad, and Taio does a great job. Even has docs for using it with my favorite iOS gif client, Working Copy.
  • Dropbox Support

I love Taio, don’t get me wrong. But I honestly can’t use it without the support to add whole Dropbox folders into my file viewer. Dropbox is my main base of operations and I can’t afford to use the file picker every single time I want to find a file. Either that, or browse through recent ones.

If I’m missing something, please let me know.

    Developer Response

Thanks for the feedback. We will think about providing other services.
  • A very easy-to-use text editor

I've been trying to find a useful text editor on iOS, but after a long search, I still haven't found it. I've tried word processing tools such as impression notes and notions. Finally, I chose note, which I think satisfies a lot. Requirements, but notion is poorly optimized in the iOS app. When I tried to use nonion to write essays today, but found that Noion could not connect to the server, I chose Taio, and the effect of Taio was completely unexpected. But I think Taio still has some shortcomings. I hope Taio can support web-side versions. In addition, I hope to refer to JSBOX in subscription mode, which will further stimulate my subscription.

  • Support arabic language

I hope to support arabic language and add more fonts
  • Beautiful & Powerful but missing cloud options

Great functionality and very clean design!
Would love the ability to import files from cloud services other than iCloud. Will this be implemented at some point?
  • Some suggestions

1.Hope to have Trash and Undo function.
2.Hope to directly change links into hyperlinks in clips.
3.Hope to improve the UI of Actions (Just like the system Shortcuts) and the App Icon.

I think it may be purchased by the Apple Inc. to improve the system Notes in the future.
    Hope for better.
  • Text and Typography Lover

This opens up a whole new ball game for fast text workflows. I can't wait to see how this evolves, and kudos to the developer for making this app possible. Thank you.
