Progress is slow

To repeat what others have said, the adverts and the game are not the same thing, but when are they?!

My biggest problem with the game is the slow progress. I’m fine with the repetitive gameplay, there’s other things you can do, permanent upgrades via the cards etc, but the difference between the level of rocks that need clearing to complete the level and the speed at which you can can upgrade the mines to get more resources to spawn more miners is not in relation to each other.

I’d expect game play to be easy at the start, then get more difficult until it’s easier again, that’s how most merge games work. I’m only on mine 10 and already I’m struggling to get through the mine. All of my mines are between level 60 and 100 and return a decent amount of resources, my cannon is over 100 and I’m trying to destroy level 10 & 11 rocks with miners of levels 9, 7 & 4 and most of those are free miners because I just don’t earn enough to spawn new ones.

Misleading

Even the preview photos on this page show a game that is not present in the app. The ads and preview photos on this app show a truck where you scoop gold/rocks/gems etc to build bridges and mines etc
I’ve played this for a little over a day and a half. The only gameplay similar to those images and ads are a bonus level between mines that last around 20seconds.
If you scroll through the app preview images, you’ll see images at the end of a bunch of individual rocks where goblins mine. This is the game I see whilst playing. They take days to mine things. Their power level does not match the rock level. Say a level 8 goblin on a level 8 rock will still take 10 minutes.
I appreciate that’s kind of the point of an “idle game” but waiting so long for that, especially when it’s not the game I downloaded for, is boring.

Thank you for your review! The development of a game is a continuous process. Some features are introduced in the game on an ongoing basis, while others can be temporary. Check for the updates!

Save your money! But fun game!

This game is excellent to help waste time, and it’s a development game that allows you to reach goals. But it is psychologically set up to trick you into buying additional gems and potions into the game. Don’t get tricked into it. It is possible to enjoy this game without buying the extras, but they will try to trick you along the way if you are susceptible to addictive tendencies. This is not the game for you.

But if you’re just looking for a time waster and look, it is worth purchasing the ad blocker, but it’s not worth purchasing anything else,My advice take it if you need it, but don’t help these people by a Maserati, use the money instead to pay rent and buy food. 😎☮️

Thank you for the feedback! You can enjoy the game without buying anything, but it might make getting some things in the game easier. You can complete the entire game without spending a cent. It just takes more tenacity.

Rubber banding / cheating?

DECEPTIVE LEADERBOARDS?
The game frequently feels like the event scoreboards are lying in an attempt to push IAPs. Over night I am 1st in an event. In the morning I collect items mined over night, I’m still first.

I close the game and come back 20 minutes later and I’m 3rd and need >42,000 gems to get to 2nd place.

It is technically impossible for a a competitor in the event to collect that many gems in that amount of time

This has happened multiple times. BUT, importantly, only when I have actively purchased items in an event. HENCE why I say the game is deceptively pushing for more IAPs.

Given how the entire Ad campaign and screenshots for this game are deceptive it’s not a huge leap of faith.

ADVERTS AND SCREENSHOTS
I currently play this game, and their advertising on social media has highlighted how deceptive their ads and screenshots here on the App Store are.

Currently on mine >100 after months of play and the game looks nothing like the first few screenshots here. The game does however look like the final 3 screenshots on the right.

it’s in-game advertising is less egregious than other games, and the game does allow a single purchase to remove all ads, which does actually do what it says unlike other games.

Thank you! Your feedback is very important to us! Maybe you will see such gameplay one day! Creation of new features is not a quick process, and it requires patience :)

Confusing

This is a highly confusing game.

Let’s be clear, the adverts are nothing like the actual game - not even close! The actual game involves tiny little goblins that need to be levelled up by using 2 of the same level to achieve the next level (2 level two goblins = 1 level three).

These are displayed and need to be moved to the an empty space on the ‘board’ where they will automatically mine the rock/chest/wall they are placed next to.

The mining earns coins and the coins help buy the next level of either the mine or the part of the mine you are mining or the overall level you are on. Perhaps all of these. Really a lot of this is unclear.

I got to mine 7 but also level 2 or 3 where I needed to earn 9aa to gain the next rank.

I mean seriously? I just wanted to push stuff around with a bulldozer - that isn’t what we are doing here.

Perhaps there’s a different game where this is possible…..?

One of my favourite go to idle games

Have always enjoyed this game, no pressure easy going game play with bright vivid graphics with lots of levels along with periodic events… The latest 4 or 5 in-game screenshots on the Apple App Store are misleading… I’ve been playing this game for a couple of years at least, and NEVER have I seen this gameplay or event… the gameplay is great, there really isn’t a need to put up fake gameplay photos to attract people…

Boring and expensive game

It’s pretty boring you actually don’t achieve anything, it takes hours to do anything, even the special events unless you spend lots of dollars. It’s basically a game to no where

Thanks for the feedback! All the in-game purchases are optional, and you can choose whether to make them or not. The key to success is not a purchase but perseverance!

2nd attempt at a review.

I wrote a first attempt, but it seems to have gone. I wonder if it was deleted because I questioned the point of a game this repetitive. Maybe they censor criticism and hope it won’t fool other players. Who can say - I’m sure the developers will have a “response” to try and convince people otherwise.

The game itself might not be so bad, but playing a game with such ludicrous hyperinflation seems beyond ridiculous. What exactly is the point of updating all your mines if it means the next goblin go can buy increases into the thousands, millions, billions, trillions or literal alphabet replacement names for numbers like AA, AB, AC, AD etc.

Think about it for a second. This is beyond ridiculous. That’s an unfathomable amount of money, and the idea is to try and entice people to pay for pointless upgrades, or endless adverts to get extra goblins, money or whatever.

I stuck with it for a few weeks, because it killed some dead time. Now at mine 20 it has become so repetitive. The same structure happens over and over, and the mini-game between mines has remained exactly the same. Unvaried and boring. I have lost interest.

False advertising gameplay

As most players here, I downloaded this game due to the false gameplay advertising I saw. Still it was fun to play at first, then I tried to join the special event, and I found out unless you spend heaps of $$$, it’s impossible to finish the event even if you play it 24/7. Sure, developer will say “it’s a free to play game, you don’t have to pay $$$ to enjoy it or finished the event.” I call it BS. Some of the rocks can take days to demolished, getting more goblins to level up is easy in the beginning, then as you get to higher level rocks, the cost of spawning a new goblin is skyrocketed, that again, unless you spend $$$ your goblin level will be way below the rock level.
The game also rigged, the system will only give you dynamite, which is crucial to the game maybe 4 in an hour if you are lucky. And again, the level of dynamite given is way below the highest level of the rock in that level. Plus, the destroying level of the dynamite does not corresponding to the level of the rock. I.e, you need 2xlvl 11 dynamite to completely destroy a lvl 11 rock.
