Actraiser Renaissance

This game actually supports controllers. Please can you register this accordingly and allow access through the backbone app? Great game!

Borderline unplayable without controller

A fairly nice upgrade of the snes classic. Some updates since made the game more tolerable though the monster generator battles get fairly cheap and aggravating. Stages are a lot of fun as are the abilities. The audio visual end is quite solid, most mechanics are great. But without a controller the game is unplayable pretty much. No adjustment or compensation for a floating thumb due to no tactile feedback gets you killed repeatedly unable to hit your jumps attacks and dodges consistently which is a shame. I’ve played other conversions of button to touch that compensate better to at least work decently.

Needs support

This is a good game, but needs some more work with the controller support. Backbone support, specifically, would be greatly appreciated.

Tim Cook’s removal

It suckz!!!!

OG TD vs 2D> scrolling vs God Sim RPG

Had this on the SNES, Japanese cartridge with US converter, on British console. Absolutely amazing game! More for HC players as TD aspect is challenging on “easy setting”. I’m a true fan of this game as it 1st introduced me to Squaresoft back in the 90’s….
Imagine CastleVania vs ya modern TD game vs Bullfrog’s immense Populous n you have: ActraiserR
Highly recommend this if you enjoy modern day games; as you will see that this game, even though being a very clever blend of previous games from various developers, sets a lot of benchmarks which are now pretty standard to a lot of mobile games of this day and age.
Classic nostalgia, so happy to see it converted in English, thank you devs!
New 2D levels & couple new maps would be quality ^^

Bought it to play with my backbone controller.

No controller support…

Awesome game, just a few things for consideration

This remake greatly expands the original SNES version of Actraiser with more to do in the town portions and more platforming combat as well. The tower defense stages can be challenging if you don’t take the time to fully upgrade and deploy your towers which should be a no brainer anyway before accepting a town siege related mission. The graphics are superb and the dialog sequences also appear awesome. Similar to the original SNES version, the game interrupts you constantly in the town portions, especially in the first level (Fillmore). I am playing without a controller, which would be more effective, but the screen touch controller is fine. However this isn’t that big of a deal because my one true gripe with this game is the ease of it once you get to the second Fillmore stage. The game gives you these gems you can collect after slaying enemies in which you will quickly gain the ability to resurrect on the spot when you die. This ability, combined with powerful magic you can just spam over and over makes the game too easy. Other than that, it’s an epic game with epic music and an epic story. Follow maxstone9999 on YouTube for some let’s play videos I am working on.

Amazing refresh to a classic title!

First off, I Actraiser was one of my favourite games when I was a child. So that being said I am a bit biased. But I have waited most of my life for a sequel or at least a refresh. Here it is people, they pulled off the refresh flawlessly. I highly recommend it at this price. There is no pay scale for anything. Not DLC to experience the full effort. It is all 100% here with NO in-game purchases.

I love this game!!!

controller support

nice that it’s in there but would be good to have full support (removing on screen UI, etc)

Fantastic

Love what they have done with updating this game. Remember playing it on snes back in the day. It has all the stuffs from the original game and added few things here and there, and quality of life changes. Graphics look super nice. Only thing missing is controller support. Hope they add this missing feature in the future, I would play this nonstop if I could use my backbone with it. Awesome game tho
