Description of Clergy in Dachau

Clergy in Dachau Concentration Camp – Memorial Calendar, Database, Stations of the Cross The main elements contained in the “Clergy in Dachau Concentration Camp” app are an interactive Memorial Calendar and a database with research function. A Tour function provides historical background. The Memorial Calendar displays the names of the clergy victims. The app can access around 3,000 sets of data providing information via a new database – compiled for the first time here – made up of personal data, data on persecution and church data on the clergy victims. The two tours are structured as Stations of the Cross and provide an opportunity to learn more about the fate of individual prisoners at selected stages through the site and to see these in the context of the story of the Passion of Jesus and the message of the Bible. This app was published by the Catholic Chaplaincy at the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site and the Department of Remembrance and Memorial Work in the Archiepiscopal Chancery of Munich, and thus the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising, which also finances it. The data basis for the app was made available to the project through a cooperation agreement between the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site / Bavarian Memorial Foundation and the Catholic Chaplaincy at the Concentration Camp Memorial Site (Archdiocese of Munich and Freising). The app is translated into Polish, English and German.
